Wet morning here -- probably like quite a few others.
Was planning on a pool day but those plans changed right at 7 a.m. Nothing else going on so I will catch up on some of my DVRd "house shows". Kevin will spend his day playing guitar and reading.
Good morning, toe is sore and I slept "hard" last night and so this morning my neck and shoulder is stiff and hurting.
Was supposed to meet up with my daughter to finish up the odds and ends in the kitchen, but she finally confessed that after she left the new house last evening, she went back to the old house and finished packing up the kitchen and liquor cabinet. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes. She's been such an amazing help to me. We must have done something right when we were raising her up!
Sunny and hot, thunderstorms this afternoon. Typical Florida summer day. No hurricane though, you up north need to hunker down. Preps should have been completed yesterday. You don't get them often like we do.
Good morning. We had more rain overnight but it's pretty nice this morning.
I heard the concert in Central Park got started last night then was cancelled at about 7:30 because of lightning in the area. The putz of a mayor wanted to wait until 10:00 then start up again. Did he think the weather was going to get better as tropical storm/hurricane Henri got closer?
This storm is changing paths here in CT constantly. Yesterday it looked like it would hit landfall between New Haven and Bridgeport (my direction in Northwest CT) The it moves a bit east more towards RI and going towards eastern MA. less wind and maybe not as much rain. Now i see it is taking a more northwest path towards Hartford. Which means a lot more rain. Not as concerned with the wind, yet!!!
Don Everly of The Everly Brothers died, he was 84. No cause of death reported yet. I didn't remember this, but the article I read said his brother Phil died in 2014. They were members of the inaugural class of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Hi Tommy. Storm only gave is rain. Lots of streams and rivers overflowing. Rescues still going on. Guess I'm glad I'm on medical leave.
Hey Moog!! They say the worst is yet to come for rain in my area. I went to church at 8. People were taking their walks and runs. I see a few convenience stores open. My breakfast place was open, and busy. But again, that was earlier this morning.

Same here, Tommy. Gave the pup a nice long walk before the storm hits, which looks to be any minute now. High winds and some flooding expected. The bucket trucks are already parked strategically around town, looks like CMP is planning ahead (for once) to deal with power outages.
Chores are done, so just going to watch some pre-season football and do a little paperwork.
Everybody stay safe.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...
I was about to grab my iPod and go for a walk around the neighborhood but it's raining. I don't feel like driving to the mall so I can walk indoors, especially on a Sunday.
Last night the Pelicans used 4 pitchers in their game. They combined to strike out 19 batters but the last guy gave up 2 runs in the 9th inning and they lost. This afternoon they were winning 5-2 in the 7th inning and a relief pitcher gave up 3 runs to tie the game. Another pitcher gave up 4 runs in the 8th inning and they lost again. I think I need a beer.
It just stopped raining here. Kevin is exhausted since he was “watering my flowers all morning”. He actually took a nap He actually hasn’t been feel 100% the last 3 days. Upset stomach, slight headache, just what he calls off. Like his mom, he went to the internet to research. Sees that some of his symptoms are those of The delta variant……sigh. I say they are the same as a few other things but that’s just me. He’s is the pessimist in our marriage.

The internet is bad to check for medical conditions. Everything I looked up about myself was scary. I told my sister to stop bothering me and scaring me. I'm waiting for biopsy tuesday and pet scan Friday.
