Well Friday is here, finally. It seems to have taken longer than usual as I was convinced it was Friday for most of Thursday.
I was somewhat disappointed when I realised my mistake.
Well this week saw a partial return to the office. For the first time in almost two years. It felt strange as I had to find my way to a place I had never been before as well as having to actually leave home to go to work.
What was even stranger was having to wear pants and shoes.
But then it got weirder.
Just before lunch, on my first day at a new office I got a phone call saying that I have got a job I had applied for (within the company) and that I will be transferring on Oct 1. So then I have to get used to another new office. Sadly, due to the nature of the work, there will not be any WFH any more

CCU plays the University of Kansas tomorrow night. I've gone to a handful of baseball games at their campus but no football games. I was thinking of going to the game but the cheapest tickets available are $38 and I found out it's going to be on ESPN2. I can stay home and watch from the comfort of my couch for free.
The ranked Chanticleers are 26 point favs....
Was listening to sports talk radio this morning & the guys were commenting that if KU knew CCU was gonna be this good years ago they would have never put them on the schedule
When I moved here, CCU's coach was a guy named Joe Moglia. At one time he was the Chairman and CEO of TD Ameritrade. I wonder how many football coaches have something like that on their resumes.

My youngest 'keet started at Apple just before the COVID crap started and has been WFH ever since. They told her the soonest she'll be back in office is next January but that'll probably slide. If it slides to February, she'll have been on the job for 2 years but not in the office for 23 months. Housing is so expensive in Silicon Valley that she's been living in Seattle (which ain't cheap!) for over a year; not even in the same state as her job.
Really weird, just another reason I'm so glad I'm retired!

E, Cameron, and I have NOT worked one day from home this entire time. I work in a hospital. E works for a food supply company (in general terms), and Cameron works at a grocery store. I wouldn't know what it's like to WFH.

I’m just surprised there are still so many in some of our county offices that are.

I never worked from home. When I was at the law firm I even went so far as to tell them I didn't have the internet at home so they wouldn't expect me to log on to any of the firm's databases and work over the weekend.

No rain here.

I don't do quotes well on my phone.
I was actually asking Mr. SPH about the rain.
But I do hope you can find your 'oomph' again at work.
