Good Morning Everyone!
Today is National Angel Food Cake day. I haven't had Angel food cake in ages but when I do I have it I love to top it with strawberries & whipped cream.
National Angel Food Cake Day on October 10th celebrates the delicious, light, and fluffy cake that many home cooks serve with fruit or glazes.
Originating in the United States and first becoming popular in the late 19th century, angel food cake was so named because of its airy lightness. It was said to be the “food of the angels.”

Good morning, Linda and Larry. It’s been years and years since I’ve had that cake. Have a great day, BNers!

A full day of house work on the agenda for today since I'm back to work tomorrow so my boss can have a day off. It's so hard to keep it clean in here since the kitchen is still under construction.

I really dislike home construction zones. But, the end result is always worth it (which seems so far away during the project).

Good morning/afternoon, BN!
We slept till 8:00!!

Just finished making/eating breakfast - fried eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast.
Had a great time at the hockey game last night - and they won with just a few minutes to spare.
Not going anywhere today - just laundry and dishes.. and Sub Sandwiches tonight so I don't have to cook, and little clean up. It's a beautiful sunny day!

Bryan installed more of the cabinet drawer pulls, and I unpacked some more kitchen stuff. Got the bed linens changed, cleaned both bathrooms, and laundry is going. Bryan is going to run to the grocery while I shower and get started on some Chicken Fried Rice for our dinner. There will be leftovers for a couple of lunches this week.

Afternoon, peeps. Haven't had angel food cake in years, decades even.
Quiet day in Limeville, hanging about watching football and walking the pup. Mr. Lime is prepping up snacks for the Giants-Cowgirls game.

Good afternoon gang. To say today has been a lazy day is the understatement of the century.
I did waste about 25 minutes watching the Lions almost pull off an improbable rally only to see them suffer a very probable end of game defeat.
0-17 still verrrry much in play

One last thought for this day - it's only been a few years since we had Angel Food cake - but it's a great memory for me. My Dad used to make Mom crazy, cause he'd take a chunk from his piece of cake, and roll it up tight in a ball.. and he taught all of his kids to do the same.
Time to head to bed. Have to drop E off at work, then it's payroll Monday. Didn't I just do this a few days ago?
Sleep sweet.
