Got a perm cap. Go back for my second cap next Wednesday. Have a ecogram for Tuesday after my infusion.
At least I have a 4 day weekend this week.

Moogli, "perm cap"? Is that the thing you wear while you get the chemo? Is it working?
I turned it down. Had my head buzzed a few weeks back and got a wig. Insurance covered most of it.
I have alopecia and have been wearing a wig since I was 22. The older I get, the less I wear them. Usually it's just a baseball hat. My boss is awesome and doesn't care of I wear hats to work. Her son recently started working at the shop too and he is kind enough to shave my head for me. My mom was the only one that would do it for me and she's been gone for 12 years this Christmas Eve. I usually buy fairly inexpensive synthetic wigs...
I'm not wearing the wig around the house or even daily or weekly. I just wanted to have one for some different holiday gatherings we have coming up. I have a bunch of caps and scarfy things for everyday.

Nothing like you folks are dealing with but since Covid I’ve been “buzzing” what’s left of Kevins hair. Thats just from age, not health issues.

When I used to wear it on a daily basis, I'd come home and take off my coat, shoes, wig and bra!
. When my girls were little, if I put my wig on they would come running...Where are we going Mom???
I usually only wear mine on special occasions now, too.

Tooth cap. Need two and had a root canal. I may lose my hair prior to tranplant when I get a heavy one day dose of a chemo treatment. Current treatment no lost hair

I'd like to take this opportunity to say it's been more than 20 years since I've been to Biloxi (and I didn't even have a wife at the time).
