What's the tailgating scene like in VA Beach? Never been, but excited!

Not sure yet. Sure did! Section 101, row M. My mom is flying up from Florida to join me, we've never seen Buffett together, so can't wait!!

Any hotel recommendations? I've only been to this venue once and it was 9 years ago. The only thing I remember about the hotel was the police making an arrest in the parking lot the morning after the show when we were all getting ready to go home.

I've always stayed on the boardwalk because I want to be beachfront so I'm not sure if there's anything closer to the venue. I Google the area, then click on hotels & search that way. I do not have a specific recommendation though, sorry.
