Just so everyone is aware 10 of Jimmy's announced shows for 2022 have required Covid-19 health checks, here is the info:

Explaination of health checks:

The Event Organizer is requiring proof of a negative test or COVID-19 vaccination to attend this event. Please check their website for details.

The Event Organizer is requiring fans agree to the terms below prior to ticket purchases & event entry. Please note these confirmations will apply to all members of your party before they are allowed to enter the event and to any users of the tickets purchased by you. By purchasing tickets for this event, I confirm that I will have received a negative COVID-19 test within 72-hours of the event, OR I will have been fully vaccinated (14 days past final vaccination shot) at the time of the event. Children under 12 years of age, or fans with a valid medical note preventing vaccination, will be required to take a COVID-19 diagnostic test within 72-hours of the event and will provide printed proof of negative result prior to entering the venue.

My experience is that these policies are "in name only". Amway Center said that for the show in December and nobody asked us a darn thing about it. And just last Saturday I saw The Eagles in Savannah at Enmarket Arena and though they said the same thing they aren't doing a thing about it.

At this point it's kind of like the signs that say "No alcoholic beverages in the parking lot".

At our show last year in Detroit they had guys in the parking lot who came around to the tailgates & checked your vax ID's. Stamped you & you were good to go.
Granted our show was sparsely attended as it was late September, wet & about 40 degrees but we were there on the early side so I thought it was very effective to do that ahead of time like that!

The last show I went to, not Buffett, was at the House of Blues. We had to show proof of vaccine or a negative COVID test before going in. That was a couple of months ago so things may have changed since then. The last sporting event I went to was a Vegas Golden Knights game back in November. Proof of vaccine or a negative test was required for that too.

Merriweather Post Pavilion on July 19 requires proof of vaccination. Negative tests are only acceptable if you have a documented qualifying medical condition.

Was at Red Rocks this Fall - they were fantastic about getting everyone thru! There were 3 checks: 1) Vax Card 2) ID 3) Vax Card & ID, then you could enter. Living in Charlotte & been to a couple shows since, as well as a few Hornets games, it's been hit & miss on checking stuff. Granted the venues I've been in since Red Rocks has all been indoors & it's masks required. Imagine for outdoor shows it will be spotty.

I would say by the time most of these shows take place, I think that vaccine passports will not be required. Ontario, Canada has the toughest restrictions in North America and we dropping them soon.

I wish that since they are stopping people to check vax cards & id's anyway, they check that the person shows their concert ticket receipt to prove they didn't get it from a scalper. I always get so so excited when tickets go on sale and then am so damn angry after trying to get a good seat. But I guess that's a story for a different thread.

We should be cracking down on scalpers, not the people buying from scalpers.

Quebec is much tougher lol. You never even had curfews lol.

Some might think it's a snarky comment/question BUT - do concert goers get to see the cards/tests of those checking those attending?

While in theory this is a good idea. But then you run into the people that legitimately can not attend the event and are just trying to recoup their money

I went to a lot of shows last year. Merriweather jiffy lube pier six etc… You only have to show a picture or a print out. I know a lot of un vaccinated people that went and got in. Its pretty easy to figure out how. It’s stupid and a waste of time!

We will have all required docs. No sense taking any chance of not gaining entry no matter how ridiculous it may seem.

Their rules …. Don’t like it don’t buy tickets. Seems easy enough

COVID-19 vaccination cards are no longer required at Riverbend in Cincinnati, according to their website.
