I didn't renew my partial season ticket plan for the Pelicans this year. Single game tickets go on sale next Friday but they're having a presale now. I'm trying to decide if I should go to opening day, 31 days from today.

Or maybe Dinosaur Night, which is on my birthday.
Hoping none interfere with Parrotfest

I worked today till 2:00.
Gonna go to our favorite Mexican restaurant a little later on.
Also need to make a quick stop by the grocery for fresh ginger and duck sauce for dinner tomorrow. (Orange Chicken and homemade Egg rolls)
Bryan gave Beacon a bath while I was at work and I will be taking him to the vet on Monday morning....he's been coughing/clearing his throat for the past few days... and he's more lethargic than normal.
On another note...has anyone ever made crumpets?
No crumpet making here

Not here, either. I don't bake.

I'm working outside today.
It's 10 degrees and windy.
Yikes. We haven’t even walked to the mailbox and it’s 21 here.

Not far from me, on a road I travel a lot, they are clearing up a 73 car pileup.
It was a chain reaction after sudden whiteout conditions. Luckily no life-threatening injuries reported.

The Hurricanes had an afternoon game and I DVR'd it so I could fast forward through the commercials. Game's over, they won, it's

:30. Or actually

:43.

WoW! I hate most 4 lane driving on good days. I'm happy where I am. With the wind and blowing, this was the worst day of winter.

Good evening gang. Just finished watching University of Michigan win THEIR playoff hockey against Notre Dame 2-1 after finishing my work day. ND had beaten them 7 consecutive times in Ann Arbor.
Love Hitchcock. Whether it were the movies, Hitchcock presents or the books, even though I was young I was quick to absorb them.
We got the winter blast yesterday. Tis a windy chilly one out there tonight but the snows done.
Didn’t get enough work done today so will need to put in at least half day tomorrow. Not a fan of the 7 day work weeks…
Enjoy your 1 less hour of sleep tonight BN’ers!

Watched Texas Tech play Kansas in the Big 12 tournament. Kansas won...
Also watched the new West Side story. Wasn't bad but I never have to watch it again.

To those mentioning the "bomb cyclone"... here's what I posted on FB 3 years ago.
"This was my morning/afternoon. The drive in to work was a little challenging with the down pouring rain. Couldn't see the lines on the road. Made it safely, tho. Pant legs were soaked just from the parking lot to the door of the building. When the skies got a little lighter, I watched how much rain was falling. Around 9:00 it started to change to snow, and then the winds started. By 10:30, I knew it was time to start to head back home. The weather wasn't gonna get any better. As I walked out of the hospital to my car, a transformer at the building next door blew. I have never heard anything as loud as that in my life. I actually screamed! Got on the highway, and I never got any faster than 35 mph, and many times I couldn't see beyond the car in front of me. Couldn't see exit signs. Snow piled up on all the windows, and the defroster (front and back) was working double time. I finally pulled into our apartment parking lot at 12:00, and I got stuck looking for a parking space. The drifts from the winds, which are gusting up to 50 mph, are what got me. Ron Ester got our shovel out and tried to dig me out. There was a big white pick up heading toward me, and he stopped next to me and offered to pull me out. Then two more guys started walking toward my car, and all four guys pushed me out of the drift. I went several feet to find a parking spot, when I got stuck again. And the guy in the truck and hubby pushed me AGAIN. I finally got into a parking space, almost. SHOCK, there was another drift that I'm 'mostly' in the space. Ron got the shovel out again to try and help me to even out in the space, and the damn shovel broke. We just gave in/up and walked back to our apartment at 12:30. As we were walking back to the apartment, a pickup with a plow on the front of it went by the area I just got stuck in. Oy. Drifts are crazy, and nearly up to my knees in spots. And the snow isn't stopping for several hours. Best part? About an hour after I got home, we saw that the highway (I-25) was closed at the exit to the north of ours, and if I had stayed at work any longer, I wouldn't have gotten home. Yes, adult beverages are in order tonight. Power has flickered many times, but still holding. Hope you all here in CO have gotten home with all of the road closures, and those stuck at DIA (which is also closed) get home tomorrow. At least the temps are in the 30's and not below that".
