Going to take some shredded chicken sandwich fixings and some Lemon Refrigerator Pie to a friend whose husband is about 3 weeks post op from a wicked ankle/foot surgery. They have a small farm and she has been doing all of the farm chores, so I wanted to give her some dinner.

Good afternoon. I'm moving slow today, I haven't been sleeping well the last few days. I'm off to the bank for a meeting with my financial guy in a few minutes. I was going to walk, it's only about 1/2 mile away, but it's been raining all morning and every now and then it changes from a rain shower to a downpour. I'll drive instead.

Hoping for a speedy recovery for Penny.

I learned something about my bank today, it closes at 1:00 and reopens at 3:00. I've been here almost 9 1/2 years and I never noticed the sign on the door.

Hoping for a quick recovery for ya Penny!!

It's been cloudy, drizzly & cool today so I started a fire in the fireplace this morning. Got all our paperwork (finally) done for our tax guy today. That's a lot off my mind, just gotta look over everything once he's done & give the ok to process.
Earrands, grocery store & laundry done in prep for the work weekend...oh yay
Baked chicken with rice & mixed vegs for dinner will get started soon.

Tried to drop of some prescriptions for hubby at Walmart earlier. I thought they were closed from 12:30-1:00 for lunch. Nope, 1:30-2:00. I got there right at 1:30

Our Walgreen's pharmacy closes for lunch. Didn't used to do that.

Hi there! I stood on a Lake Erie beach near an old marina wall that held hundreds of logs. The marina wall is 7 feet high. Driftwood logs were 3 feet higher. Storms blow them in with no way out.

Hanging in there. Third chemo was today, eleven more to go. Side effects are more of a drag this time around so just mitigating what I can. And definitely practicing more self-care, stress-avoidance. BP today was 116/62. Nice that weather is finally warming up, too. Making a point to get out for extra walks with the pup.

Preach, split shifts are atrocious for the workers. Restaurants used to do it between lunch and dinner, some crappy ones still do.

Awwww, thanks everyone!!! I am actually HOME!!! E took great care of me while in the hospital. The RN'S each day and the CNA'S were pretty amazing. Before I could leave today, my potassium had to be a certain level. She had a hard time finding a good vein, and got some help. Then rushed it to the Lab so I could leave. Sooooo happy to be home!!!!
