To all of you going to the show in Charlotte on April 18... what are your pre-concert plans?
I have seen information on the local Parrot Head Club throwing a party at a local bar, and several posts regarding what time the parking lot will open (which has still not been confirmed?!?). Just curious as to what your plans are.

Okay...so I guess that no one here is going to the Charlotte show?!?

I am going to charlotte with a group of about 12, but we havent made any definite tailgate plans due to the fact that we cant find out when the gates are gonna open and what is gonna be allowed.

The parking lot gates are going to open at 6:00.

Where is the preparty at in Charlotte? Does anyone know where the PHC is holding their party? The gates are not opening till 6:00 & that is not enough time to get ready for Jimmy.

It has been approximately three years since Buffett played at Verizon but in years past, the parking lots have opened between 3:00 & 4:00. There was a posting earlier in the month talking about which bar the pre-Buffett party was taking place but I can't remember the name of the bar nor the website. I do remember the post indicated it was near the Holiday Inn off of WT Harris Blvd which is where about 20-30 of us are staying. We plan on starting our own pre-party there at the pool there approximtely 1:00 - 2:00.

Thanks for all of the info and suggestions that have been given so far...I gues we will head to the parking lot and if it is not open yet...we will look for where the party is going on. I do not think it will be too hard to find a bunch of parrotheads?!?

The official pre-concert party is at Boardwalk Billy's Raw Bar on JM Keyenes drive near the intersection of Tryon and Harris. It is behind the Hilton with the red roof. It starts at 1 and they will have bands playing and a shuttle. Go to Http://www.parrotstock.com for details.
Hearing the parking lots open at 6 but not positive on that. I am calling Verizon today to see if they can confirm or deny anything.

For all those looking for a pre-Bubba party, there will be a couple of us at the apartment complex across hwy 29 by the pool. We'll have cheeseburgers, margaritas & Corona's. But please bring your own beverages. We'll have the tunes goin'. Welcome all parrotheads!

I am getting dressed now and listening to Barometer Soup (cranked up on the stereo) and I cannot wait! I am heading to Charlotte in an hour.
