Good morning. On July 2, 1776, Congress voted to declare independence. Two days later, it ratified the text of the Declaration.
That concludes today's history lesson. Have a nice long weekend and be careful with the fireworks.
One side note: Many of you will remember my announcement years ago of the birth of my grandson, Lake.
He turns 13 today. Where does the time go?

Good morning BN. Rain ended an hour ago and the day looks nice. I avoid water on these holidays. It's too crowded. I may break out the paints. They need raffle baskets at the Pittsburgh pre-concert party and my seascapes do well.

Good morning John. Happy Birthday Lake!!
Last night's weather forecast was for a 30% chance of rain today. When I woke up this morning and checked the weather on my phone we were under a Tropical Storm Warning.

Good morning. Was gonna open the cafe earlier with ANOTHER SATURDAY NIGHT n I ain’t got nobody as the fiancé is off dog sitting for her niece this weekend. But I dozed back off 7ish.
History lessons are a good thing

Thanks for that John!
Just finished grocery shopping with my about to expire coupons (wife groomed me well on that).
Beautiful looking day. Suppose some lawn work
should be next on the agenda. Let’s slap a TBD (To be determined) on that

Enjoy your Sat Day gang

Afternoon BNers
Another hazy day but still no rain. Galveston area had some flooding but we got zip.
We had a very quiet day for Ryan's birthday. We planned to go eat TexMex but he decided to order Popeye's instead. Whatever makes him happy.

Good afternoon from a sunnyx3 Ocean City Maryland. Apparently back home is under a code red warning for severe thunderstorms. Our home town had the same last evening with lots of trees down and 10,000 without power. At least daughter Bridget doesn’t have to stop by Ringville and water flowers/plants.

We just had about 1/2 hour of rain coming down so hard I could barely see the houses across the street. Now we have blue skies and sunshine. There was no wind to speak of so I guess most of Tropical Storm Colin stayed over the Atlantic but this had to be the outer bands of the storm.
I think I'll have a beer.

Aloha, peeps. Gorgeous day in Vacationland.
Little festival going on in town so we wandered around, really great to see so much activity. Hanging at home tonight with Mr. Lime’s new pizza oven. We got him an Ooni for Fathers Day and it’s kind of amazing, the pizzas really do cook in about 3 minutes.

Granted they are smallish 12” and very thin crust but still, it’s a fun little thing for appetizers, happy hour, etc.

3rd day in a row of hot and humid temps. Also 3rd day at the beach

for the kids. They are having a blast. We love having them here, but I'm figuring out why we have children when we are young.
