Talking about the fact that Time Flies.....makes me think of a couple songs & the lyrics associated with it that gives us food for thought.
One is called "Time Flies" by a band named Porcupine Tree. Some cool lyrics associated with it that stand out..it starts like this.

I'm off today. Just got a call from my boss and she asked me if I could work this Saturday. Things apparently have kicked into high gear there's a wedding, a funeral and an order for 11 centerpieces. So of course I said yes

Just going to putz around the house and then make a mixed berry cobbler and Sweet and Spicy Stir Fry Chicken for dinner tonight.

Good morning Thursday people.

We had some really loud thunderstorms in the Denver area the last two nights. This one last night actually woke us up! I think I heard the ground slurp! And the temps are just in the 70's today.

Work is work - those that don't do parts of my job are trying to make it more difficult with extra paperwork and steps. Why don't they ever ask those that do the work before they make stupid changes??

Good afternoon. I had an appointment to donate platelets at 11:00 but my hemoglobin was low I couldn't donate. I decided to go to the Carolina Ale House and have a burger abd a beer instead.

My eye Dr appointment wasn't as successful as I hoped. Between the macular and afew other things, I have lost vision in my left eye. So the Dr is doing everything to keep my vision in my right eye.

My eye Dr appointment wasn't as successful as I hoped. Between the macular and afew other things, I have lost vision in my left eye. So the Dr is doing everything to keep my vision in my right eye.

My 94 yo MIL is going through that... she has her good days and she has her bad days but over all it's not good.
My oldest she-keet (34 yo) was diagnosed with T1 Diabetes when she was a teen and she's getting shots in her eyes every six months to try and stave off further problems. Having already stated my aversion to needles, you can imagine my shivers just thinking about a shot in the eye!

Wife took a few of her friends out on the boat today. They were heading down to LuLu's in Gulf Shores for lunch, which is about an hour ride from our Home Port. They left at 10:00 AM and still haven't heard anything from them. Apparently they are having fun, and cocktails. If I don't hear from them in an hour or so, I am going to head down to the marina (there is a bar there) just to see how many scrapes I am going to have to rub out..

Also indicated that they came home dry (all wine was killed). There were 5 of them, and last I noticed, there was at least that many bottles in the rack. Sounds like they had a good day on the water.

Trust me. I hate needles as much as anyone. But the Dr uses deadening drops so I feel nothing. I don't enjoy the shots but if they keep me seeing.
I am depressed today thinking about being blind......
