Good morning BN. Anne has a doctor consultation at noon, then we will go out to eat. With the heat today, I won't be doing much outside.

As often happens while I peck away at my keyboard to open the MSC Bill has pounded out todays Thread leader at a near identical time.
So....as I was saying......Good Morning Bill & Welcome to another version of Hump Day in the USA.
Nothing eventful around these parts expected today. MAY get some rain in the form of storms later this afternoon. Then again, we may not Like many of you we could use the rain though. And would be nice to get it prior to the weekend.

Noticed the Buffett show last night clocked in with a hefty 28 songs Good for the Mainers!!

World Of Beer has another brewery challenge this month, drink 2 beers from a brewery in Austria by the end of August and you get entered in a contest to win a trip to Austria. I think the trip includes a visit to the brewery but I'm not sure about that. I have their app on my phone and I checked the beer list, we're 3 days into the challenge and they don't have either of the 2 beers you're supposed to drink.

I have a conflict today. The LL softball game and the Astros game both start at 1!! Luckily one is only on computer and the other on TV. Gotta love technology!

Another triple digit day. Ugh. Glad I am not going anywhere. Everyone stay cool.

The Pelicans had an interesting game last night. They were up in the bottom of the 9th inning losing 4-3, 2 outs and nobody on base. The next batter struck out, game over. No, not game over. The 3rd strike was a wild pitch and the catcher couldn't get the ball in time to throw the batter out at first base. The next 2 batters walked so now they have bases loaded but they're still losing. The next batter, after an 11 pitch at bat, got a single and 2 runs scored. They won 5-4.

I just got a weather alert on my phone. It's only 88 degrees but the heat index is 106.

The Mariners are playing the Yankees today and so far, so good.... The first two batters hit singles, the next two hit HRs and they've scored 4 runs with no outs in the first. Go Ms!

Edit:
Ms had 5 hits in the 1st, 3 of them HRs. Ms 6-0 after one inning.
It's very early in the game but looking very good so far....

We don't recycle at my condo so I go to the recycling center about once a month. I went today. I was out of my car for less than 5 minutes and the sweat was dripping off me. I decided to go to Old Chicago and have a cold beer or two.

The girls lost their first game. Just couldn't seem to get on base. On to the next hame.

Hey Everyone!

The sleep I missed out on Sunday night has caught up with me today....dragging all day and my eyes look like I missed a night's sleep too . Today was mentally exhausting at work so that didn't help either.

We went to Arbys for dinner......we haven't been there since BC (now known as Before Covid). It tasted really good.

Im ready for bed...and hoping I actually sleep a solid 6-7 hours.

QUIET EVERYONE!!!!! Linda needs her sleep.
