Yep -- there's been quite a line up since 4:00 this morning. Been there, done that . The venue is AMAZING and it's always great to hang with our fellow PHs/BNers. We'll be watching tonight from the comfort of our AC .

Between 1993 and 2015 I only missed 1 Buffett show at Jones Beach, he did 2 shows in '93 and I only went to the first one. Since then I've only been to one Buffett show at the beach, 2017. I doubt if I'll go back.

I listen to a Sports talk "Live" podcast that is based in Birmingham Alabama....program called The Next Round. Featuring SEC of course but still a Great & I mean Great source if you love college football, no matter where you are in the Country.
Starting this past Sunday they've been broadcasted Live at the Flori-Bama. In addition to talking sports they've talked a lot about the history & backstory of the FB. Of course they plug the booze & food big time also! Interviewing a guy who mentioned all the songs that have been written that reference the Flori-Bama, including Jimmy's Bama Breeze. Pretty cool stuff.

I went to Kohl's looking for a new pair of sneakers. There was a car in the parking lot with BUFFETT on the license plate. I wonder if it was a customer or an employee.

5 isds started school yesterday and 1 today.
I am sorry, but it is way too early to start classes. And too HOT!! Can't imagine trying to corral a roomful od kiddos.

School starts here next Monday. When I lived in NY we used to start the Wednesday after Labor Day. The exception was when I was in law school, the fall semester started Thursday of the 3rd week in August.

Back in the dark ages when I was in school, we also started after Labor Day. I was so surprised when Ryan started the end of Aug. Every year, it just gets earlier.

Hi there! Here's a feel good story

I have collected donations for Leader Dogs and receive news of the group. $350,000 was donated by the Gary Sinise Foundation for blind servicemen and first responders. The foundation also is sponsoring 7 service dogs, two of which are Labrador siblings named Forest and Jenny, both characters from Gary's break out movie.

Yep, we have schools starting last week, for the next few. The biggest difference is that kids get breaks for Fall, Winter, Spring, In-Service, Teacher Planning, so they have to start earlier to make up for all of that time off!

Today at work I have spent since 7:00 am working on filing, archiving (HR and Accounting stuff), creating new HR folders, and I'm 99% caught up!! Feels great! But I'm exhausted!

Time to head out, stop at Cameron's, then on to get a haircut!

Maybe I'll have a beer.

How’s the boy doing in his new place ?

Our grand boys start school the Tuesday before Labor Day weekend so they have 2 4-day weeks back to back to get into the swing of things.

When our kids were in school they started after Labor Day. Most school districts around here make up any snow days on the scattered 3 Day holiday weekends. Except for the one we lived in…every snow day was added on to the end of the year. One yr our kids didn’t get out for the summer until June 19
