Summer SUNDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. Lunch will be at our favorite roadhouse. I'm thinking monster sized burger.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning.
Now that the Pelicans season is over, I can get ready for the hockey season. I went to the Carolina Hurricanes website to see when opening day is and there was an article about their broadcast team. For the last 2 seasons they had a woman who hosted the pre- and post-game shows and did between period interviews but she's not coming back this year. I thought maybe she left for a job in a larger media market than Raleigh, NC so I googled her to see what I could find out. Was I ever wrong. The broadcasters aren't employees of the team, they work for the cable sports channel that televises the games. The channel requested her resignation, she was doing the horizontal mambo with one of the players. He's married, she was engaged, she isn't engaged anymore. The player is gone too, he only had a one year contract and when he became a free agent over the summer the Hurricanes made no attempt to bring him back.

Afternoon BN'ers....
Been an absolute PERFECT Gulf Coast weekend. Wife and I even spent some time on the beach walking, avoiding jelly fish however, followed by one of our favorite beach bars....... Heading to an invite from a neighbor to watch football (which I could care less about) and have some beers (which I care about).....

Hi there! Michi wins for best day, but Molly gets to follow her dream. I worked on signposts while playing the Slack Tide cd.

We got up earlyish. Had coffee then got ready to head to the big city (Columbus) and made a trip to Costco and then lunch at Chuy's!
. Our middle daughter met us at Chuy's and filled us in on her first week of travel nursing. (She has a 13 week stint at a hospital in the Cincinnati area).
We are home now. Dogs are glad we are home
I'm having another margarita and relaxing

Haven't seen anyone in costume, so sweating is not my fault. Lol
We did a quick trip to Animal Kingdom so Larry could visit the Dawa bar and we did the safari and walked through the gorilla area.
Now on the bus hoping our room is ready. If it is, it will be time to unload car.

Re: Summer SUNDAY@ the MSC
Hello all.
I wasn’t feeling 100% yesterday from allergy issues which hit me with some nausea and light headedness so I laid low. Much better today so we went to our 11:00 church service since I didn’t get up until 8:30 which is 2 hrs past my norm. I organized and put away most of our summer decorations and helped a neighbor patch a small area of the concrete between the door and driveway. Ours had done the same thing and I was able to fix it easily with some premixed cement.
We’ve got shrimp marinating which Kevin will soon grill. It will be paired with some fresh cooked veggies for Kevin and a sweet potato for me. The evening will end with a few episodes of Better Call Saul (we watched Breaking Bad 3 times

The tune "Slow Lane" has really grown on me......supposedly it was written about the trip down US 59 from I-10 to Gulf Shores.....Not sure, just what I heard........the lyrics would make sense of it.bodypainter wrote: ↑September 18, 2022 4:38 pm Hi there! It was a decent day today, a little more humid than it was supposed to be but it was about 85 degrees with a nice breeze. I went to the park for my walk, stopped at Firehouse Subs on the way home to get something to eat and now I'm having an Oktoberfest beer.

Lone Tree got an early start by a week and had Oktoberfest last weekend.
I also picked up Oktoberfest beers from Paulaner and Hack Pschorr to continue the celebration at home.
