The Day Before Halloween @ The MSC

Good afternoon. It's another not so nice day along the coast of Carolina but at least it isn't raining.

Another milestone in the Hurricanes game last night, one of their players played in his 1,100th game. He scored the first goal of the game and the Hurricanes went on to win in overtime. Useless piece of hockey information - the Hurricanes coach is a retired player and according to the play-by-play announcer, he also scored a goal in his 1,100th game.

Evening, peeps. 8)

Gorgeous fall day in Vacationland. Yard chores done. Picked up smoked wings from a place in town, all we have to do is sauce them. [smilie=yum.gif]

Finished up the laundry. I have a chuck roast in the pressure cooker and we'll have French Dip Sandwiches for dinner. It's smelling pretty good in here πŸ™‚ Not much else going on around here.

Afternoon Larry, Michi, Linda, Lime, Molly, Tammy & BN!

We loaded up all 3 dogs into the jeep & headed to the mountains yesterday to look at the fall colors. Stopped by an orchard for some apples. We took an 'off road vehicle' trail (atv's, side-by-sides, jeeps, etc) that hubby had been wanting to take the jeep through for a while. It was VERY ruff! Ended up breaking both bolts off both sides of something that connects the wheels & drive shaft. I'm not at all mechanically inclined but I can tell you that we used a craftsman screwdriver in place of the bolts in both sides & those allowed us to make it the final 3 miles of trail & another 5ish miles to tractor supply. He got replacement bolts & we had a stranger (with tools) help us replace bolts & fix the problem!
There's still good folk out there!!

I also purchased something called honey squash yesterday at the orchard. She said it was like butternut squash but sweeter. I'm now making applesauce in the instapot to go with the squash & pork chops for dinner.
Hoping for a good outcome

Happy Sunday y'all!

Good afternoon all!!

Had Cameron and his girl for brunch. No reason, just wanted to spend a little time with us. πŸ’• It was very nice.

It's beautiful outside, so nice to have windows open.

Hi there! All the food sounds great, pholks. I had 3 leftover wings and radishes after time on the river. The nice day and fish hitting brought out the crowds.

I'm not at a bar but I am having a beer. There aren't any hockey games on TV tonight, at least not on any channels that I get, so I'll have to find something else to watch. Maybe I'll go into DVR mode and watch Casablanca again.

All of the food sounds yummy.

The mechanical stuff sounds horrible. Glad you are both uninjured!

Never heard this one by that name - got the recipe from "RedWineMaker" (Corey) here years ago. No ranch mix, but that does sound like a yummy addition. Besides the peppers and broth, it just has onion and garlic powder, oregano, rosemary, and thyme. :)
