It's National Sandwich Day.
Whether you stack it high or thin, National Sandwich Day on November 3rd recognizes one of Americaβs favorite lunch items.
If you'd be having one, what would it be? I like most "fancy" restaurant Sammies. At home a plain ol' PBnJ works -- with wheat bread and grape jelly.

Gotta make a quick trip to the grocery before the grandkids arrive or there will be no sammies for lunch!

Good Morning Linda....lurkers!
Couldn't tell ya the last time I had a PB&J sandwich. Was a daily eater of them back in school.
These days, this is how I satisfy my PB&J craving....OH YES!
No real fave sandwich, but a fan of most of them!
It's also International Stout Day for those that like the dark side
Stay thirsty AND hungry my phriends!

Good morning Linda, Tammy, Ken, and BN!
I've had a few PB&J beers over the years. Some good, some not.
But I do LOVE sandwiches!! Meats, cheeses, lettuce, tomato, sometimes pickles, usually mayo or mustard. Fried bologna is my most favorite. But NO raw onions!
Time to get a little work done..

Hey Doc, have you ever had a Grilled pbnj? Warm and gooey... kinda tricky to assemble but well worth it!

Good morning.
I've never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I'm not a nut person, any nuts, not just peanuts. I don't really have a favorite sandwich but I like Genoa salami and provolone or ham and swiss, with mustard and a pickle.
When I was working at the firm, we had a cafeteria and they had a carving station. They had turkey breast every day and usually something else - brisket, London broil, roast beef, whatever. My go to sandwich was turkey with honey mustard on whole wheat bread.

Morning BNers
Sandwiches? Yes please. Nothing better than a simple grilled cheese. I do like pb&j but with apple butter or strawberry or apricot jam. Never been a grape jelly fan.
Another Astros game at 7:03. Hoping for another great game.

In a sandwich shop I'll go for a Roast Beef, Cheddar, and Tomato on sourdough. At home we do Chicken or Tuna Salad with a little chopped onion and capers added in.
Cold and windy and rainy here with heavy rain warning for tomorrow.

Don't ever count the Astros out
Maybe ya'll have heard the controversy with Mattress Mac? I don't agree with his language but I love that he was standing up for our TEAM!!!!
I figured after being blown out in Game 3, that they would rebound. I didn't watch any of the game but woke up this morning to the news that they won. Always the start of a good day to go down to the sports book to cash in a ticket.
I have heard of Mattress Mac, and the bets he makes.....but haven't heard of anything of what is going on.

He has a $75 million bet on the series!!! If Astros win, he will refund $$$ to people that have bought mattresses. He also gave 200 mattresses to vets and first responders in Philly.

Hi there! I love sandwiches and will have one for supper tonight. The best one I ever had was a Monte Cristo. It was battered, deep fried and served with jelly. Soooo good...........

Yes, he makes that big bet on all major events for Texas teams. It is however covered by an insurance policy. Did he do something recently to bring him back into the news?
