We are planning a trip to Key West in March. We have never been before. We are going for a Little Feat gathering and 3 shows.
We will probably have afternoons free. I know alot of BNers have been to KW during MOTM .

Do have any suggestions on things we shouldn't miss....except hitting bars.

It's been a very long time since we've been to Key West so I am not sure what still exists...

Mel Fisher has always been on of my heroes. So visit to the Mel Fisher Museum is always a treat for me - the there's a JB connection there too.

Ernest Hemmingway's house is interesting. Ask them about the story behind the urinal water trough and the night Sloppy Joe's moved.

The light house is a way to waste an hour or so.

Conch train is a bit of touristy fun.

Chilling out at the Green Parrot Bar was nice.

Oh, sunset at Mallory Square and/or a sunset sailing cruise is always fun.

It's a lot of reading, but I did this several years ago (and who knows what's still there), but there's many comments in the thread with more info that might help you.

Years ago, I remember watching you 2 on bar stools sitting for hours......and we watched ya'll.

I think that was Dave and Al. I had self inflicted travel issues which left me stranded at the Hilton Marina in Fort Lauderdale. Dave was willing to drive up to get me but I told him that I would monitor the situation from my barstool. I was on the phone with him and we would turn back to the web cam and wave.....LOL.....Best time I had without making it to the party.

Exactly...... I know I was concerned after hearing of the crash, but after knowing he was OK, it was hilarious to listen to the story of it all. There are dozens of those type of stories however to tell.........
