Good morning everyone. It’s cool and breezy at Ringville. Church this morning and then a pretty relaxing day of doing nothing. Except I want to get the outdoor Christmas light placed on the front yard shrubbery before it gets to cold so do that.

Ringer Christmas Rule: no lights get turned on until Dec 1. And the fall/thanksgiving decorations don’t get swapped out with Christmas ones until then.

It was 70 degrees when I went to bed last night, it was 63 when I woke up this morning, it's 59 now. I put on a pair of shorts when I got dressed but I may have to get a pair of jeans out of the closet if this downward trend continues.

The movie Elvis from earlier this year was on HBO the other day. I DVR'd it and just watched it. I was never a big fan of Elvis, this movie didn't change that. And I thought Tom Hanks was terrible as Col. Tom Parker.

Speaking of snow, I was watching a college football game last night, Boise State played the University of Nevada. The game was in Reno. It was snowing at the beginning of the game but by the second half the snow had stopped. The announcer said it was 30 degrees. Snow and cold, perfect football weather.

Had a great weekend down in Portland, there were a bunch of fancy tasting dinner events.

Now we’re just in for football and wings. And it’s pouring so holding off on picking up the dog from the boarding kennel until later.

My oldest daughter has decided that there shall be NO Christmas carols/songs played or sung before December 1st. The children shall be "fined" a quarter if caught!

I sat in my recliner, with my phone in hand, wish lists from the grandkids and did my Christmas shopping till I was pretty much done! I have a few things to pick up at the dollar store for stockings but except for my middle daughter and Bryan I'm done . We draw names for the adults and I give to Emily this year. I like to have something small for Bryan to open when it's just us!
I'm finishing up laundry and I'm having a margarita!

My sports seasons are done. Astros won World Season. But "our" guys in racing lost in first round.

So, I guess it is Hallmark movies for me.

It is 57 degrees and will be the high for the day.

I decided not to change to jeans, went to the park for a leisurely stroll around the lake and it was a beautiful day. The temperature went back up to the mid 60s, the humidity was low and there was a nice breeze. I was surprised to see a girls softball tournament at the park, this time of year they've usually switched the softball and baseball fields to soccer.

I watched and thought it was awful. Don't know what I was expecting, but that wasn't it.

Maybe I'll have another beer while I watch the hockey game. Tampa Bay is kicking Washington's booty, it's 4-0 with 3 minutes left in the 1st period and Washington doesn't have a shot on goal yet.
