T.G.I.F.@ the MSC
Good morning BN. It's a beautiful, sunny day. I took my boat to the shop yesterday for winterization yesterday. They didn't get to it and said it should be done by noon. It's a 50 mile round trip which will a chunk out of the day.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good afternoon Bill.....lurkers.
Glad to hear you've got sunshine Bill. Hope you have safe travels today.
We seem to be stuck with clouds
But....we seem to be fending off the snow so far for the weekend. Not sure. Morning News/Weather said 1/2 inch to 2 this weekend. Weather Channel online doesn't show any. I'll go with the latter.
Birthday gathering tonight for Granddaughter. Turns 11 tomorrow! Where did time go??!!
Enjoy your Friday everyone!!

Morning BNers
Trying to get inspired to do a few errands. Don't really want to get out, but Christmas is coming.
75 degrees but going up yo 80's again. I'm not complaining.

G'morning/Afternoon!
Today is running a LITTLE smoother than yesterday. Still covering the front desk.
Nothing more than that at work, ready for Happy Hour with E tonight.
Weekend is putting up our tree, some cooking, laundry, see Mom, and a visit to our favorite brewery who are celebrating their 11 year anniversary.
And if I was still working for DIRECTV, today would have been 26 years.
Off to finish more stuff..

Good afternoon. I just got home from donating platelets at the Red Cross. They always tell you to make sure you stay hydrated after you're done. Isn't water the main ingredient in beer?
On the way home one of the cars in front of me must have been a lawyer. The license plate was SETL IT.
After 2 days in a row with temperatures in the low 70s, it was only 51 degrees this morning and it's still in the 50s. It was raining when I left for the Red Cross but it's just overcast, damp and windy now, an all around crappy day. Maybe it's couch potato afternoon.

Good afternoon everyone.
Not too bad a day here at Ringville but I am now thoroughly confused by what day of the week it is
.
Fridays are my day off from my "retirement job". Kevin decided to take a vacation day as he soon will be in the position I was with having too much vacation/sick time saved up before his projected June 2024 retirement date. Bottom line......when he's off from work on my regular day off I keep thinking it's Saturday

Re: T.G.I.F.@ the MSC
We were at the airport yesterday, waiting to board a flight to Kona. When they announced early boarding for people needing extra time to board, a scruffy (almost homeless-looking) guy with a fairly big shepherd mix went on. As luck would have it, when we got on, he was in the row behind us. He was in the middle seat and his dog was on the floor of the window seat. A while later, a couple came on and the lady said she had the middle seat and he admitted that he had the window seat but needed to sit in the middle seat because he didn't have leg room with his dog on the floor.
So now a flight attendant gets involved and asks if he purchased two seats and he said no, but he needed two seats because of his "emotional support service dog'". She explained that it was a full plane and that he needed to move. He refused, saying the FAA said that they had to accommodate him. She replied that they would do everything they could to accommodate him, but that didn't include giving him somebody else's seat. This went on for some time before she called for a supervisor.
A supervisor finally arrived and the same sort of dialogue went on for about ten minutes... "I'm a million miler on this airline and I've never had this problem before." (Yeah, right...) "Well, I can't speak for previous flights, but I'm telling you that this is a full flight and you have to sit in your assigned seat. If you want to be assured of two seats, you have to purchase two seats."
The guy suggests that they bump the couple to another flight so that he has room, but that wasn't going to happen. The must have shuffled around a couple of people in the back of the plane since they finally moved him and his companion aft.
Last month we were keeping an eye on Hurricane Nicole in Savannah/Charleston, now we gotta keep a look out for Pele on The Big Island. We are northwest of the volcano and last night we could see the red lava stream, far off in the distance on the side of the mountain. Pretty cool, if you can say that about red-hot molten lava!

Shopping wasn't as successful as I had hoped. Our big liquor store didn't have what I was going after.
I'm about to give up....

Hi there! I mailed the raffle paitning, moved firewood for an open pavillion that has Santa this weekend at our light display, then called about the boat. It was done and only a day late! Glad I made a reservation.
Heading home I passed by the best pool on the river and my buddy waved from his boat. It was 42 out.

Being a seasoned flier myself, it amazes me as to what people think "their rights" are.

Thanks Penny, but having trouble with boxes coming in with company names all over them. It has happened 4 times so far.SMLCHNG wrote: ↑December 9, 2022 4:51 pm

Not much fun when a person sees what is in the box.
