OMG
Compared to the colder areas, it isn't bad. But I just opened the back door at 2:20 am and it is COLD! Remember that we are wimps and it wasn't many days ago that we were close to 90°.
Everyone having colder temps and ice and snow, please stay warm, stay inside and be safe.

It's 24° here and it's too damn cold for us. This ain't Minnesota, yah know.....
I know the voices in my head aren't real, but sometimes they have really good ideas....

Good morning gang!
Merry Christmas Eve (Eve)!
8 degrees here now with a high today of 9. Wind are chills below zero. But the snow isn’t supposed to accumulate beyond 4-5 inches so can deal with that. But gusty winds most likely will drift away
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
Good morning, all. Ther diner where I have breakfast is2.5 miles away. Two of those miles are uphill. With this weather, I'll stay here and eat cereal.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
Why am I awake before the sun comes up? Oh wait, I'm still on eastern time and it's 9:00 back home.
I went to the new BrewDog rooftop bar last night. It was a bit chilly but there are nice views of the Strip all lit up. When I'm traveling, I usually try to drink only beers I can't get at home. BrewDog is a Scottish brewer, they distribute some of their beer in South Carolina and I've had a few of them. They have 20 beers on tap on the rooftop (there's another bar one floor below with more choices) and most of them were new to me. I decided to get a flight, four 5 oz. glasses, but only 3 of them were beers I hadn't tried before. The 4th one was one I can get back home but when you're in Las Vegas and there's a beer called Elvis Juice, you have to get one.

Peanut butter and banana?
Another cold start to the day. -5, and -20 with the wind chill. And it is a windy one out there. Looks like we could get up to 17 today. Then back to temps in the upper 40's and 50's for the next week! My car and battery will be much happier.
Our county is under a level 2 snow emergency. So as predicted I didn't have to go to work. There's not a lot of snow but it's the drifting that's causing the problem. Our street hasn't even been plowed yet. We have power but the internet is down. It's -7* with a wind chill of -34* brrrrr
The big dog seems to be a little more comfortable today. Hopefully the meds will work to reduce the swelling and pain.

I didn't think about that, but maybe that's how they should have brewed it. It's just a regular IPA.

Can’t argue with that logic

I think I have to start my day with a cup of coffee, like I did yesterday morning after I got to the airport.
How delayed was your flight once you finally took off?
A little over an hour. The original departure time from Atlanta was 1:40pm. When I got to the gate the new time was 2:31. We left at 2:43.
On the bright side, with the delayed arrival I got to Vegas after 4:00. My original arrival time was 3:10. I was able to check in at the hotel as soon as I got there, check-in time is 4:00.
I didn't sleep much during the night. Too much howling winds. At about 5am, the windchill was 1 degree. The temp is 23 now.
Larry is having lunch with a friend. I think I would have postponed it. Lol
He found a busted fitting outside and fixed it before he left. Hope we don't find anything else.
Grandson Eli was here overnight. The light in the guest room went on around 8 this morning. Since we pull the curtains we could see under the bedroom door. He didn’t come out until 9:30. He was reading. He has always loved books and at 11 he’s still going strong. PopPop made the required big as your head pancake but this time threw in a bunch of chocolate chips. It was a hit.
We will head out into the cold at 5 to pickup Kevin’s mom for our family Christmas Eve Eve dinner at our daughters. She opted for pizzas. We’re taking salad and garlic bread. All this is fine with us. Kevin’s mom not so much. “Why would we have pizza for a Christmas meal”???? She can’t be thankful that all 14 of us will be together. Sigh.
We have had pizza for Christmas eve dinner since I was in grade school. First, my Mother hand made individual pizza in regular pie pans. Someone gave her the recipe from Chicago!! Then, when Pizza Hut came to Oklahoma, we started ordering. Then Dominos after we got married. Love the tradition.

My answer would be "Why Not"?
My answer was “because Bridget and Andrew are hosting so they get to choose”. That was followed with “why are we doing this on December 23 and not Christmas Day?” My reply was “because Bridget and Andrew are hosting so they get to schedule since no one else offered.”
