Hank Hill : Just in case I'm incapacitated for some reason, do you know how to start a man's heart with a downed power line?
Bobby: No.
Hank : Well, there's really no wrong way to do it.

Re: Sail On Jeff Beck
Was a tad late to the Beck Party, but when "Jeff Beck With the Jan Hammer Group Live" hit it sucked me in & had me back trackin' somewhat into his catalogue. Only saw him once live, once with tix in possession I had to "miss out" but definitely someone I should have made a better effort to go see multiple times.

That video is from a show in a small club in, I think, London. I saw it on TV a few years ago, maybe on PBS. The woman he had playing bass, Tal Wilkenfeld, was outstanding and she was really young too, about 21 or 22. I think she's from Australia.frognot wrote: ↑January 11, 2023 6:17 pm Guitar great Jeff Beck dies at the age of 78

Re: Sail On Jeff Beck
Just read that Stevie Wonder wrote this. He gave it to Jeff Beck because Motown wanted Stevie to record Superstition instead. Stevie originally intended Superstition for Beck. Love both as they are, things turned out for the best.
I just love these little anecdotes, too.

Yes, performed at Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club. I watched most of that show as well & I agree wholeheartedly about Tal.LIPH wrote: ↑January 12, 2023 2:25 pmThat video is from a show in a small club in, I think, London.
