Good FRIDAY the 13th @ the MSC

Good morning gang & Happy Friday!
While I kinda have some quirky superstitions, Friday the 13th nor the number 13 is not one of them.
Am changing insurance companies today for home & auto and will be saving well over $600 a year in doing so. So while I'll be scratching a check for roughly $1,100 today I'll be SAVING money in doing so.

Morning y’all. As an Irish baseball fan, I have MANY superstitions, but 13 isn’t one of them for me, either. My Mom was born on the 13th and died on the 13th. My Dad always wore 13 playing hockey. Seeing “13” reminds me of them.

When I was at the local hospital this morning for a test, I saw the 3 stooges clean up a wet spot on the carpet by the registration desk. 1 placed the caution wet floor sign, 1 pushed the cart with the carpet machine on it and 1 actually ran the machine.
They left the sign in case someone slipped and fell on the wet carpet
How many men does it take to do the job of 1 woman? 3, apparently it takes 3!

It is only 47 degrees! What happened to our warmer temps? It could be worse but I don't like this.

Superstitions? Kinda. Not bad, but mostly personal ones at baseball season....wearing orange, drinking orange Fanta, eating Cheetos. Silly, but works for me.

I got a check in the mail today for my portion of the settlement fund from the Equifax data breach. I don't remember filling a claim but I guess I was part of the class action suit. The check is for $5.21. I'll try not to spend it all in one place.

At our golf club, the cart "kids" will always come over, fill my cooler with ice, etc......there is "one"....nice kid.....not allowed to touch my cart.

Are checks (cheques) still a thing? Here in Oz they've gone the way of the 8-Track and whale-bone corsets!

I now have cassette players IN My CAR.....Imagine That !!!!! I can fast forward to any song I am looking for. At the end I can flip it over and repeat the process. I heard they have a version coming which will automatically do that for you, without taking the tape out.

Yes they are still here. Although we Ringers ordered a pack of 300 when we moved to Ringville on Dec 27 2012. Yep, ten yrs ago. We’re still using that same pack.

Believe it or not there are some businesses that very recently have begun a credit card surcharge fee of 3 or 4% which some folks will avoid by writing a check.
