Jimmy's tour had to have been booked already.

What does he gain by seemingly always announcing late?

Fans concert dollars and Summer plans are going elsewhere by the day.

I truly believe he is going out with at least one or two other acts....

Those acts have spring tours still going on and therefore can't announce it yet...

That idea make the most sense on the lateness of the tour announcement. If that's true, who do you think those acts most likely are??

I noticed Kenny Chesney has only one tour date in June and only one in July. Maybe a Jimmy/Kenny tour? I'd see that for sure!!

That's an interesting theory.

I looked and Kenny is only playing small markets.

I for one would love a co headline tour with the Eagles again, but the prices would be insane because shows with just the Eagles are the most expensive ones out there it seems.

I'm working on a YouTube video right now making the case for just that being a possible reason...

Kenny did a full summer tour last year and then went into his "I Go Back Tour" which runs through the end of May. I can't see him spending May - Sept on the road.

And why would Jimmy want to tour with another act? He has talked about how he has his business end of touring running like a well oiled machine. Why get someone else involved? And why relegate yourself to an opening act? The guy is legend, he should not be opening for anyone and much less needs to share the stage.

Jimmy is older, the band members are older, the shows don't sell out. Apart from people on this website, is anyone really that anxious for tour dates anymore?

Or maybe, he's just finalizing the terms of a joint residency at Disneyland and Disneyworld. (He does spend lots of time in CA and FL.) :o

You said he doesn't need anyone to tour with, but followed it up by saying Jimmy doesn't sell out shows anymore. That's exactly why he would consider a co-headline tour.

I was also thinking a co-headline tour for health reasons. After he came back, his shows in March were shorter than what he usually does. The shows in March were around 20 or so songs, where a normal show is around 27 or so. Maybe a scaled back tour with a co-headliner is what Jimmy was told by his doctors he needs to do for his health.

What I mean is that he does not sell out the venues that he traditionally plays. There are hundreds of other venues he can play that are smaller. But they won't pay him as much money. I've spoken with one of the people who books shows for a famous venue down the street from my house (The Capitol Theatre). I begged him to try and get Buffett. I was told Buffett "is too expensive."

Clearly the guy wants to be out there and is "still making records." It's just a question of where he will play.

But teaming up with another act to do it? I just do not see it. From a financial standpoint it probably makes even less sense. (And we all know Buffett cares about the $$$.)

A small venue with JB would be appreciated! I've been blessed to have seen him many times. Including a private interview w Chicago Tribune. I'd pay to hear him read a story!!! With a little Love and and Luck, I'll see Capt J Buffett soon. 🦜🎶🦜🌴

The first comment I've seen in ALL of the "We need dates" threads that is the most respectful of Jimmy's age and concert longevity. Geez people. He's not in his 30's anymore. Some of you need to mentally and emotionally prepare yourselves that this year, and any years to come, will be different than his previous years. AND he's putting out a new album. Another thing to be grateful for.

Please. No. The Eagles were one of the worst bands I've ever seen live and I think I'd skip seeing Jimmy if I had sit through this shitshow again.

What a hilarious comment. You must have been having cranky day if you think the Eagles were one of the worst bands live. 🤣
