The Eagles were the standard in the 70s. They were the sound track of our childhoods. But, I saw them a few years ago. They sounded just like the albums, but were very boring. No stage presence. If it was not for Joe Walsh I may have fallen asleep. You cannot compare the engery of a Eagles show to Buffett and that is not even talking about the fans.(Which we know are the best in music!)

Jimmy has a deep connection to The Eagles and I suspect that is why he did those opening shows a few years back.

Jones Beach still has Tues & Thurs open in August and PNC has a few of them as well. But definitely no Sat at either. Mansfield has 8/12. Bethel Woods has most Tues/Thurs open.

Maybe he'll just do Tues/Thurs and spend Sat. fishing.

Please. No. The Eagles were one of the worst bands I've ever seen live and I think I'd skip seeing Jimmy if I had sit through this shitshow again.

I've seen the Eagles live twice and they were great.

well my friends if you don't get to sea JB, please support your favorite Trop Rock performers. Mine are Boat Drunks and Don Middlebrook. I know how they got to where they are and whywhat an inspiration Jimmy Buffett is. I live to the code I'm fortunate to have been to 30 JB shows. Lots of traveling. Worth it all. I'm not going to be greedy. He's a busy man and enjoying the happiness he's worked hard for. So yah, play a CD pour a cold one. It's not over! FinzUP

P.S. perhaps the show coming up May 6 will be live on Margaritaville TV, or via YouTube. Used both during the salvation of Cabin Fever. Met a lot of cool parrotheads in the chat. Awesome! So I'll be checking to sea if we can go live from MI to California. I hope so

I’m good with a shortened tour and shortened set. Really I’d like to see a throwback to when shows started with a few songs solo acoustic or with very limited number of people on stage (see: Live by the Bay). Less time performing for the full band and more low-impact overall.
