Here's an odd one: Dolly Parton once said that if you want the rainbow, you’ve got to put up with the rain. Although she never said anything about how to put up with the rain, for generations, the method-of-choice has been the umbrella. As part of many cultures since ancient times, umbrellas have a storied history worth commemorating. So on February 10, we celebrate National Umbrella Day!
No rain in the forecast for Ringville. I'm off to the grocery store, lunch with some ladies I met on the Nextdoor App, then home to make soup for our chili/soup cookfoff tomorrow night.
If you might get some rain today make sure you have your umbrella
Good Morning Linda....BN'ers to come.
YESTERDAY was our need for the Umbrella day. Was soaker for sure much of the day. Now we just roll with clouds for today before welcoming a full weekend of the Sun.....so THEY say??!!
Work day is now underway! Enjoy your Friday gang!
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
Another sleepless night. I tried but sleep didn't come.
We have quite a few umbrellas but they are never where we need them. If we are in the car, there is one in the house...you know the story.
None of us have melted yet. Lol
Doesn't rain here (going on 6 weeks) warmth and sun only..
Srill trying to deal with contractors to fix a few pool cage screens.. No Shows ..no Calls seem to be the norm...
Planning on a casual dinner tonight out...almost time for the first dip in the pool...

Have a great day BN
We always used a neighborhood handy man for this, Dave. One or two panels a year was the norm for us. Always was something poking a hole thru the screens and letting them dang bugs in.
...Gypsy rain, dang hurricanes, white silver sandy shore...

Ours is 4 years old, and no issues yet. Even has taken an occasional golf ball here and there.
That was a disappointing trip. Got to Kroger and they had scooters at both doors. All of them were blinking dead. Must have had 10 and none were charged. Finally found a chair at Starbucks so I sat while Ryan did the shopping. At least I got out of the house.
Raining out and about 60 degrees. Just finished Friday Happy Hour at one of the neighbors. They had a new IPA from Wisconsin which was really good. No food, as they are also hosting Supper Bowl Sunday with a long list of food being available. I don't give a rat's hoots about the game, the crab claws, mussels and crawfish are on my radar......Plus my wife is planning on bringing spiny lobster tails, which of course, I will tasked with grilling prior.
