Good Morning.....bet you aren't thinking of the "real" Weed Appreciation Day ....
NATIONAL WEED APPRECIATION DAY
National Weed Appreciation Day on March 28th each year reminds us that some weeds are beneficial to us and our ecosystem. Humans have used weeds for food and as herbs for much of recorded history. Some are edible and nutritious, while other weeds have medicinal value.
I know we need weeds but wish there was a way to keep them contained to a certain area -- as in NOT in my flower beds/garden.
Good morning, Linda. My yard is mostly weeds. My problem is an invasive bush that my neighbor brought in.Birds spread the seeds and it is encroaching my boundary.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Imagine my surprise when I read the thread title & saw who opened the cafe
Then I actually read the post
I did the same thing, Andrea!
Not much going on here... Dental cleaning late yesterday afternoon. No new cavities (I've only had 6 in my lifetime), but a 30+ year old filling has cracked and it'll need a crown. My second one for the same reason. First one was no big deal to fit and put it on.
CT scan of the back this afternoon. See if the cracked screw is what is causing some additional pain.
And we have no yard to deal with weeds, we'll leave that up to the landscaping company.
Good morning. No weeds for me either, the HOA has a landscaping company to handle that stuff.
The movie The Paper Chase was on TV last night. There was a scene where Prof. Kingsfield called a student up to the front of the class, reached in his pocket and said "here's a dime, call your mother and tell her it's doubtful you'll ever be a lawyer". When I was in law school, one of my professors did something similar to one of my classmates. He didn't call the guy up to the front of the class but he said "here's a quarter, call your parents and tell them law school isn't for you". The guy wound up graduating in the top 10% of the class, a spot to which I could only aspire.
Funny it is Weed Day since I just committed to a lawn company to do fertilizer for the yard today.
I am on Spring Break this week and have been in front of a computer completing online college courses so I can maybe move up on the salary ladder. Glad I am a good writer otherwise these courses would be a whole lot more labor intense than I am interested in.
Oh well, could be so much worse. It is sunny and maybe mid 40's today in Michigan. I am ready for warm weather and summer vacation. Enjoy your weeds today, pholks
well, ummmmmmm, yah, I guess I better come up with something witty to put in this spot since everyone is reading it.......
Good Afternoon Gang!
It's been QUITE some time since I've appreciated Weed!
Truth be told, I do have a a weed brownie that's been DEPRECIATING in my fridge for about a year now if not longer.
I suppose it's about time to find it a new home in the trash
Thanks for starting this thread Linda
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
Hi there! A waitress we hadn't seen at a diner an hour away had quite a time. She went in for teeth cleaning and they noticed a problem. She had 5 tumors in her jaw that got into the bone which led to all her teeth being pulled. She had temporary teeth till the permanent ones could be placed.
