Good morning. It was the reverse of 27 here this morning, it was 72, but it was raining. The rain stopped but it's still overcast and very dreary looking.

We are on lock-down. Across the street from us is the campus of the local high school, middle school, and elementary school.
The police tried to stop a car on Valley Road that runs buy the campus. A man jumped out with a gun and ran into the
nearby woods. The schools have been put on lock-down, the roads leading in have been blocked off, and a state police
helicopter has been circling for about 2 hours. Swat team has been called in. Nearby residents (that's us) have been advised
to lock doors and shelter in place. Man is supposed to be suicidal. I thought it was going to be a boring day.

It's raining again and it's very windy. I think I missed my window of opportunity for a walk in the park. The weather is supposed to be like this tomorrow too. It's the middle of Bike Week, thousands of bikers are probably packing every bar and restaurant in town since they're not out riding in the rain.

Called the podiatrist again this morning and made an appointment for *drumroll please* JUNE freaking 28th. Then I called to make an appointment with my PCP for *drumroll please* May 31st. I then asked to be transferred to the nurses line and begged for them to call me if they have a cancellation or for some pain meds. I understand now how constant pain will drive you insane.

With all the rain and the (anticipated) crowds because of Bike Week, I went online and ordered a pizza from Mellow Mushroom. I went to pick it up and there were only 3 cars (and no motorcycles) in the parking lot. Well, at least I saved a few bucks. I would have had a beer with my pizza if I had gone in instead of ordering takeout. And I saved a slice so I can have cold pizza for breakfast tomorrow.
