Hazy TUESDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. The smoke from Canadian fires is over us. The sun and moon are even muted from the haze. Enjoy good weather if you have it.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Bill and Nancy. It's supposed to be about 85 degrees today, maybe I'll see if I can find something to do outside.
Coastal Carolina's baseball team was ranked in the top 10 in the country and hosted one of the 16 NCAA Regionals. They lost to Duke last night and were eliminated. I was thinking of going to the game but I stayed home to watch the hockey game instead. I'm glad I did, Vegas won 7-2 and CCU got their butts kicked, I think the score was 12-3.

Morning Larry and Nancy!
Just another fun day at work - but at least I'm back at my own desk.
Dentist this afternoon - the start of replacing a 40+ year old filling. Good thing I love my dentist.

Afternoon BNers
Another gloomy day. We had big thunder last night but I don't think it rained at all here.
Larry...Texas Tech was also playing well in baseball until last night. They also have gone back to Lubbock.
Astros play another game with the Blue Jay's. Astros won big last night.

Earlier today I got an email from the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center that REO Speedwagon was playing at the Performing Arts Center next Tuesday. I was never a big fan but I like some of their music. I checked the Hilton Garden Inn next door to the Performing Arts Center, then went to TicketMaster. The hotel wasn't ridiculously expensive and there was a fair amount of tickets available for the concert so I decided to go. Maybe this time I'll stop at one of the many breweries in the area, I didn't go to any of them when I saw Pat Benatar in April. There's also a Total Wine in Mt. Pleasant (on the way to the hotel) and another one in Charleston. I can stop at one, or both, of them and see if they have stuff our Total Wine doesn't. With 30+ breweries in the area they probably have some local beers I can't get here.

REO has always been a Midwest staple as far as music & concerts go since the late 70's when they busted out with their live album in '77. I recall the summer after graduating in '77 going out to the local beach almost daily either before or after work & someone ALWAYS had a stereo cranked to either REO Live, Frampton Comes Alive or Fleetwood Mac Rumors!LIPH wrote: ↑June 6, 2023 4:07 pm Earlier today I got an email from the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center that REO Speedwagon was playing at the Performing Arts Center next Tuesday. I'm gonna guess I've seen REO a minimum of 5 times....maybe a couple more....in all size venues/indoors/outdoors/etc. Last time I saw them back in 2018 co headlining with Chicago they put on an excellent performance. Each band did their own set, then they integrated for a mini set with a full stage. Good stuff!
Granted lead singer Kevin Cronin couldn't hit the highs like back in the day, but he still was pretty good at engaging the audience & being the entertainer. As I mentioned, here in the midwest their hits are classic rock staples & provide a proven sing'-a-long set that most of us early 60 folks here can easily belt out along with. Enjoy!

Hi there! I finished the painted shirt for Amo with pics coming after I get back from seeing Mac.
The Pittsburgh news showed a gridlock at Star Lake last night for Dead and Company. People were turning around on rte 22 to go home. Some left their cars by the roadside and walked in. That is a long walk! I saw it almost that bad for Jimmy 15 years ago.
