National Corn on the Cob day Sunday @ the MSC

I LOVE corn on the cob. The best came my grandparents farm in Indiana when I was a kid.

Yesterday was busy ALL day long. Some good, some not so much.

Good morning Penny. I don't like corn on the cob. But I don't like corn off the cob either.

The Vegas Golden Knights are one game away from winning the Stanley Cup. They have 6 players left from 2017-18 when they were an expansion team and lost the Stanley Cup finals to Washington. They also have 5 players who have won the Stanley Cup while playing for other teams.

Busy sports day for me. Racing started 2 hours early because of rain possibilities.
And 12:40 Astros game. Finally managed to win against the Guardians last night...

2nd day of air show is underway. It’s still very hazy here and it seems they are hurrying the show along unlike yesterdays drawn out one.

It’s actually cool up here on the 18th floor balcony since the wind is pretty strong.

I was on the pool deck earlier and then took a stroll on the beach. There are a few crazies in the water. I’m guessing they are all under the age of 15.

Corn on cob is usually good stuff, but don’t really have it very often.
Tigers gave up 5 in the 9th to lose their 43rd game in a row today. Ok, so I’m exaggerating but what’s the difference. Tigers stink, Pistons stink. Red Wings semi stink, Lions were finally mediocre for 1 season. Almost wish I didn’t have “local” teams to root for. Guess Michigan Wolverine football has been kind last couple seasons but still not quite to the mountaintop.

She-'keet Nicole and her new hubby Matt flew up from SF for the weekend to attend commencement exercises for his sister who was graduating from the University of Washington. They flew home this afternoon, and then next Friday, while Matt flies to Sun Valley to be in a boyhood friend's wedding, Nicole flies to Paris to be in a college roommate's wedding. (Mimi is getting married on a river boat on the Seine.) Matt then joins Nicole in Paris on Monday and they're going to Lyon to start their belated honeymoon. After exploring Provence for week, they fly to Florence, Italy to tour Tuscany for a week, then on to Mykonos, Greece and then Athens for a week. Must be nice!
