Good Morning:

Today is my short work day -- it's been a long week even though I was off on Monday. The permit applications just keep coming in and the voice mail and emails are piled up as well.

We went to a park about 20 mins from us that has an awesome outdoor amphitheater. Flamin' Dick & the Hot Rods played an amazing 90 min. Lots of folks dancing -- the weather was beautiful. Our local now Myrtle Beach friends loved it as well, having ever heard this band.

Something tells me Dick & the Hot Rods are a Pennsylvania staple on the entertainment scene.

Our music calendar will be busy this weekend with 2 shows in Detroit. Michael Franti & Spearhead tomorrow night, then we truck back down on Saturday to see Kansas' 50th Anniversary tour (amazing how many bands have done one of those lately).
Two totally different shows musically, one outdoor show & one inside show. Will be the 3rd time seeing Franti & the 2nd time I've seen a band using the name Kansas. I believe they're down to 2 original members. Regardless, looking forward to the music & the vibe.

We have the carpet being installed in the basement today and with my headache and nausea the pounding isn't helping me any.

Good morning.

I finally got around to watching the hockey game last night. I like what Vegas's coach did to start the game. They have 6 players left from the first season when they were an expansion team in 2017-18, 5 of them were on the ice for the opening faceoff. It couldn't be all 6 because none of them are goalies. The first time they changed players the 6th guy came out. The coach used to coach the Boston Bruins. They had a good team when he was the coach but never won the Stanley Cup so they fired him. The Bruins had the best record in the league this season but they lost in the first round of the playoffs. The coach they fired won the Stanley Cup.

Yesterday was a crap day for me. I had a potential new job that I was sure I was going to get. Two interviews, and quick contact after I had submitted my resumé. Sadly I got the "we chose our other candidate, but it was a really tough decision".

But I came home from work to flowers on the dining room table that Cameron snuck our apartment and dropped off.

And today is SSDD here.. busy, so it'll keep my mind off of the rest of the crap.

But the Nuggets are having their victory parade today!!
