Good morning Penny. Someday I will have Jessica Alba and/or Jennifer Lawrence stop by for a visit.

It's in the low 80s with no chance of rain but it's very hazy out. Last night on the 11:00 news the weather guy said we'd be getting smoke from the Canadian fires again but there's also a fire not far from Wilmington, NC. That's less than 100 miles from here so we're getting smoke from that too.

Hi there! Today was a someday I've put off since snow melt. I changed the oil in my generator, which was about as tedious as any oil change. Last century I did both cars. Anne was a travelling nurse, logging over 30,000 miles and I changed her car's oil every 3,000 miles. After years of messy hands, I finally wised up and wore latex gloves.

It is a toasty 93 but feels like the surface of the sun!!! Another day that I am staying home.

Astros lost again last night. Ugh
They play again at 3 today. Their bats just are not connecting.

I decided to go to the Pelicans game tonight. I looked at their website and the expected starting pitcher is a 19 year old kid who is a top 10 prospect in the Cubs organization.

They're close to clinching a playoff spot. They're in first place in their division with a 3 game lead and only 5 games to go in the first half of the season. Two teams are tied for second place. If the Pelicans win today and tomorrow and the other 2 teams each lose 1 game, the Pelicans clinch first place and are in the playoffs no matter how bad they play in the second half of the season. Like last season when they finished first in the first half and last in the second half, then got swept in the first round of the playoffs.

Kevin is 64 yrs old today. He will retire from the County of Lancaster on June 21 of next year.
