Survived the weekend MONDAY @ the MSC

Post by Dr.Corona »

Good Morning gang!
It's Monday & I could use a little time off to recover from the weekend. Well, it's not really that bad, but back to back concerts Friday & Saturday night down in Detroit taking their toll a bit. Pretty much just lack of normal scheduled sleep. Unfortunately no matter how late I'm up I still wake up pretty much at my normal weekday time. Seems the older you get the more pholks fall into this situation. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif] The other exhausting part of the weekend was dealing with idiot drivers there & back both nights on the freeway  Seemed inevitable was going to witness if not actually be involved in an accident tooling up & down I-75. Thankfully made it unscathed.
Yesterday was out for breakfast, some light yard work & plenty of bird watching from the back deck. So that was nice.
Hope all enjoy their 19th day of June!

"Seems the older you get the more pholks fall into this situation." Yeah, pretty much true.... I'm up somewhere between 5 and 6 every morning.

Speaking of concerts, Geoarge Strait played before more than 59,142 people last night in Lumen (Seahawks) Field. Opening acts were Little Big Town and Chris Stapleton. Even with 2 opening acts, he played for more than 2 hours and sang 30 songs.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but sometimes they have really good ideas....

Good afternoon!

Yeah, I have an "alarm clock bladder", too.

BUSY work morning. 4 new hires, and Payroll day. I haven't had a second to breathe till now.

Doc visit this afternoon to look at my 'trigger thumb'..

And I lost a co-worker to breast cancer yesterday. :( :(

Love Monday's...

Afternoon BNers

We had some things planned for the weekend but ended up doing nothing. We didn't even leave the house. :(

Another hot day. Feels like 111. 🥵

Astros lost again last night. This really isn't fun. Another game with the Mets tonight.

Good afternoon/evening depending how you look at things.

The Pelicans won last night and Columbia lost so the Pelicans will be in the playoffs for the second year in a row after not making it since 2017.

I was at the park walking and the southern sky was getting dark. Since I live south of the park I thought it would be a good idea to head home. It isn't raining yet but the sky is so dark I had to turn the headlights on when I was driving home. Then when I got home I had to turn the lights on inside.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Hi there! Boy, Larry, that's dark! I fished a little lake and watched an eagle that disappeared in the haze of the Canadian fires.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Hey everyone. Kevin had a holiday today. Juneteenth. Guess a lot of folks thought local government was closed because our receptionist Probly only got 5 calls all day and only 3/4 walk ins.

My tree pollen allergies are reaking havoc on my head and eyes. My left eyelid is swollen and red so I’m using my prescription strength drops. Between that, constant sneezing and coarse voice I’m a hot mess. Well at least a mess 🤣

Getting older is NOT for sissies. ;)

My thumb is going to require surgery to fix the tendon and sheath so my thumb will stop getting stuck. It's a quick surgery, not general, just local anesthesia. A few stitches, keep bandaged for a week or so, then stitches out. Let's just see how much my insurance will cover. I'm going broke with medical crap. :(

E is out of town until Friday on business, so I'm already bored without him. So I cleaned my spoon collection. :P

Sorry about this Penny but glad to hear of a short surgery and recovery time. I thought that was what I had 5 years ago but it turned into a full blown arthroplasty. 2 fingers had bone cut out with a metal plate and "extender" put in. Cast, PT, etc..... All bc of arthritis (which has made residence in most of my body joints)
