American Eagle TUESDAY @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Good Morning All

Today is National American Eagle Day.

Each year on June 20th, National American Eagle Day honors our national symbol, raising awareness for protecting the Bald Eagle. The day also encourages the recovery of their natural environments while providing educational outreach.

The Bald Eagle is both the national bird and the national animal of The United States of America and appears on its Seal.

About 30 mins south of us is a huge natural eagle sanctuary -- we've been there -- it really is beautiful to stand along the river bed and watch them soar.

Good morning, Linda. I enjoy seeing eagles a lot these days. In the last century I saw them a total of 3 times, They are making a great comeback.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

We have 4 eagle nests within 1.5 miles of us..... it is so cool to watch them soar on the thermals over Puget Sound as they watch for fish below.

Good morning. There used to be an eagle's nest at the state park but I haven't seen an eagle there in 4 or 5 years.

I checked the weather app on my phone, there's a 70% chance of rain today and the rest of the week it's 80%.

Afternoon BNers

A few years ago we were listening to music at EPCOT and watching an eagle ride the currents. Just amazing.

There used to be an eagle nest in the Woodlands but a condo was built where it was. 😡

There are at least 2 pairs of eagles nearby, but I have not been lucky enough to see them myself.
The only one I have ever seen in the "wild" was in RI, sitting atop a utility pole along I-295 of all places!

Evening, peeps. 8) See the occasional eagle in these parts but more usually see ospreys, they’re all over the place around here.

Sun finally popped through this afternoon and we are in for a stretch of gorgeous weather. Knocked out some yard work and now Mr. Lime is prepping up steak bombs for dinner. [smilie=yum.gif]

Good evening boys and girls. 'Twas a very busy day at work and no time to 'play'.

Finally got a 1:1 with my new CEO. He's a nice guy - we mostly chatted about day to day stuff - but I was also able to 'demand' I get a substantial raise in August (my 5 year anniversary). I do SO much that's not related to the Admin Asst. position. And they offered a salary range to another AA in Denver that was $4 more an hour than I make. That and they HAVE to have someone else besides me to cover the front desk whenever she's out.

E's not back until Friday, so I did a load of laundry to kill time tonight.

Don't often see any eagles flying around here in the suburbs. I love seeing them any time.
