Indeed, a true summer day here in the Great Lake State! We're heading for 87 with full Sun today. Lynn taking full advantage as she heads over to retired phriends place to do a pool day. Meanwhile stuffy office day for me with afternoon A/C in the forecast.

New York CNN — Drivers in the state of Washington are celebrating the official start of summer with an unwelcome sight: America’s most expensive gas prices. The average cost of regular gasoline in Washington state has jumped by 32 cents over the past month to $4.93 a gallon, according to AAA. That’s 7 cents ahead of California, which is notorious for its high prices for everything, especially fuel.

Ouch! We have a reginal inequity with gas. It is more expensive at a gas station beside a local refinery than 80 miles away. The gas is pumped directly to the station! That stinks, but it's no Washington.

99 degrees but feels like 112! And hazy. Happy 1st day of Summer.

Astros are playing an early game with the Mets. In the 4th, it is 4-6...Houston up but it is still early.

After losing 5 games in a row, they did win last night.

We have an overcast day and I was glad to have a sweater on when I took my "stroll" around the building mid-morning and mid-afternoon.

Kevin & I are heading to York PA to a wonderfully remodeled old theater to hear Nickle Creek. This is a rescheduled date from early May when a band member became ill.

Sunny but breezy and chilly. Shopped and had lunch in town. Mr. Lime is prepping cioppino for dinner, a lovely Italian shellfish stew with grilled bread.

I’m digging this retired life.

So far Mr. Weather has been 1/2 right. It made it to 80 degrees but not a drop of rain yet so I was able to take my walk outdoors in the sunshine instead of in the mall. I brought my iPod with me, I have the songs in my iTunes library sorted alphabetically by artist name. I listened to some Jake Shimabukuro while I walked.
