Wet & Wild Thursday @ The MSC

Post by LIPH »

Good morning. It was raining when I went to bed last night, it was raining when I woke up this morning and it's still raining now. This may turn out to be one of those days when I don't unlock my door. ☔

Good late morning gang.
Down at University of Michigan Hospital where I take my brother for currently semi annual testing regarding his Barrett’s esophagus disease. Road construction was a mother but we left about a half hour earlier than what we normally would & it worked out perfectly. Hopeful for another good report & we may be able to go on the annual checkup plan 🤞
Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning Nancy, Larry, and Ken!

Yeah, there was a lot of crazy weather last night. I did fall asleep on the couch again.. and the rain/hail/thunder woke me up around midnight. Our hail wasn't as bad as it was up at Red Rocks and a bunch of people, who were there for a concert, got pelted with golf ball sized hail. Many injured. :(

Another round may hit again today. We've had more rain (over 5" now) in June than we've had since 1886 - just crazy. :-?

Otherwise, work is SSDD..

But it is my Mother's 86th birthday.. :D

Hi there! I had a killer workout, increased weight on some sets, and my weight is up. Apparently, banana splits are not calorie free.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

The rain stopped so I decided to go to Old Chicago for lunch. While I was driving here there was a car in front of me with the license plate SSDD 247.

And Happy Birthday to Mom.

Heading to the beach at OCMD tomorrow for a long weekend. Taking one of my daughters. son in law, and the newest
grandaughter. Weather looks a little "iffy". Wish me luck. :pirate:

A retired bank teller was visiting with Anne in Walmart when I caught up to her. She turned to me and asked how I spell Garrett. I misspelled it. She laughed. She had noticed her son's football caricature hanging in his now empty bedroom was spelled wrong. I drew the cartoon around 25 years ago.

Well today's weather was 'interesting'. I left work at 3:30 and by 4:15 I had to leave the highway I drive on because of SO MUCH rain and flooding. I waited it out in a restaurant parking lot, and the highway exit I took was pretty flooded I was afraid I was gonna get stuck. I was actually able to leave 20 minutes later and I finally got home just after 5:00.. We had lots of hail, but it ended up being like snow.

The part of town known as "Highlands Ranch" had a tornado go through today. It's about 10 miles from our home, and it was in the same area that my sister used to live, just up the street from my dentist, and our favorite brewery, so I know it well. Most of the damage was from from huge trees falling on houses and cars.

One more night that E is gone, and I'll be happy about that!!
