Soothing my sunburn SUNDAY @ the MSC

Post by Dr.Corona »

Good morning gang!
Lynn is at niece’s house this weekend dog sitting. The plus is they have a nice in ground pool. Temps checked in mid 80’s yesterday so it was good day for taking advantage of the pool. Of course it only takes about 20 minutes spent in a sun soaked pool for me to start getting some color
We were out there for a good few hours before I hit the shade. Needless to say, my face, neck, shoulders & everything else above the waist have a color tone that is similar to the picture of the flamin hot Cheetos shown on the bag.
Today I will spend pretty much inside lathering up with aloe & other moisturizing products I can find around the house to help put the fire out 🥵
But to all of you out there have a wonderful day & enjoy the great summer outdoors if you can!

Good Morning Ken.

We’re to hit the high 80’s today. At least we had some Raine this week to the stuff in the ground won’t be scorched. We are still so far behind with rain fall that our summer crops will be small and expensive. I’ll finally get to our friends pool for the first time this summer. She’s had a non stop few months of issues with it which are hopefully now resolved.

We’re heading to a local park for a Jimi Hendrix cover band. Not my favorite but I like to people watch so there’s that.

Good morning. Kip Moore put on a good show last night, played for almost 2 hours. I didn't recognize some of the songs he played but he released a new album earlier this year that I haven't bought so I assume those songs were from the new album. He did Beer Money, which is the first one of his songs I ever heard, and a few other old favorites. This was at least the third time, maybe fourth, that I've seen him at the House of Blues. I think he's outgrown the venue, the place was packed last night. Some guy up front tossed his phone up to the stage, I still can't figure out why, and Kip said he'd like to teleport back to the '70s "when nobody had a f**** phone." He took a picture of his guitar player flipping the bird, gave the phone back to the guy it belonged to and said "I don't know what you were expecting but that's what you got."
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

When I was still working there was a street musician in Times Square who played the guitar left handed, wore a bandanna like Hendrix used to and only played Hendrix songs. He was awful. One day there were a few people listening to him and he said he took requests. A guy walked over, dropped a dollar bill in his guitar case and said "could you stop?"

Morning BNers

Already feels like 100 degrees!!!! Glad I will be watching racing and Astros

Astros playing Dodgers yesterday and lost. Every time Altuve and Bregman batted people were chanting CHEATER. They are the only ones left playing. Yes. We got caught cheating. That was years ago. Others got caught. Let it go.

Good afternoon all. :)

Lazy morning, tho I made breakfast, doing laundry and cleaning dishes.

Watched the Cubs/Cardinals game from London, and E was happy the Cardinals won.

Ken? If you can take it, Ibuprofen. It's an anti-inflammatory, and will help.

Got to friends pool and it started to “sprinkle”. Sun still shining so we figured it would be a passing shower. 30 mins later and still dumping and thundering. I drove home in a really hard downpour. Pulled into our development (5 miles away) with sun shining. Not a drop of rain but lots of thunder.

Welcome to summer weather.
