Good Morning All!

Today is NATIONAL PAUL BUNYAN DAY (I can see you containing your excitement)

Today we remember fondly the tales of the big blue ox and a mighty lumberjack. It is National Paul Bunyan Day!
Described as a giant and a lumberjack of unusual skill, Paul Bunyan is one of the most famous North American folklore heroes. In the tales, Paul Bunyan was almost always accompanied by his companion, Babe the Blue Ox.

Good Morning Linda & everyone else who takes the time to check in on their Buffett News!!

Michigan's ode to the big Lumberjack are these statues located in St. Ignace just across the Mackinac Bridge that leads to the Upper Peninsula at a place that's called Castle Rock. As a youngster I'd say I've climbed up the Rock 3 or 4 times.

Enjoy your final hump day of June gang!

Good morning Linda and Ken.

The Carolina Hurricanes have a player named Jordan Staal. He's a big strong guy, 6' 4" and 220 pounds. One of the announcers sometimes calls him Staal Bunyan.

Good morning gang. I loved the tall tales and the Paul Bunyan stories. Walt Disney had a cartoon of Paul that I watched every time it was on. He may have been based on a real logger from Canada but was popularized in an add campaign for flour.

I had an appointment to donate blood this morning but my hemoglobin was too low so I couldn't donate. They told me to take a box of Girl Scout cookies anyway. They didn't have thin mints.

Afternoon all. :)

It's sunny, it's hot, and a little hazy from CO fires. But at least things are drying out a bit in the Denver area.

Work is work.

Today is also "Parrothead Day" :D

I didn’t realize that until just a few mins ago when I saw it posted on FB (which I don’t visit very often)

Yesterday was our first 90+ degree day since the first week of September and it was also very humid. I don't know if we hit 90 again today but it was hot and humid again. I think I'll have a beer to cool off. 🍺

A whole BOX of Girl Scout cookies?  When I used to donate blood, I was lucky to get a glass of 7-up and a loose-meat sandwich — and (since it was Wisconsin) a small cup of Culver's frozen custard.
