Good morning, Dave. It's been quiet here so far. That will change tonight.

Good Morning Gentlemen! Happy 4th of July eve.
My future brother-in-law is having issues with his relatively new dog destroying some things around the house, like his mattress. :x He's somewhat in the country so hopefully the booms will be kept to a minimum so she doesn't get even more riled up.
Some minor crackles of 'works last night in my neighborhood last night but for sure expect the pace to get picked up tonight! :o Hopefully it won't get too crazy.... :pirate:
Have a great day!!

Good morning guys! :)

E said he heard a few going off last night, but I crashed and didn't hear a thing. We don't have any furbabies, so that's not a worry.

Two Monday's and two Friday's this week for us. ;)

Good morning. I heard some fireworks Saturday night but nothing last night. I expect tonight and tomorrow to be a lot worse, fireworks are legal in South Carolina.

We don't have our Fireworks till Friday night. Weather hasn't been great here for Fireworks. Not sure if tonight and tomorrow night will be any better. A lot of rain and storms in the forecast.

The heat index is 101 and they're predicting it could go as high as 110 this afternoon. The Pelicans are having post game fireworks tonight, I think I'll stay home. They start a road trip tomorrow, I'll wait until they come back home to go to my game of the month.

Afternoon BNers

Looks like I might be back. After the power failure, BN flipped off. Everything else worked, but BN didn't. Finally checked on our connection and found the problem.

93 but feels like 103....ugh. Suppose to have more storms this afternoon. Just hope we don't have another power failure.

We are expecting a plumber in a few hours. We got a note from the water company saying we have a water leak somewhere. Another ugh.

Astros have one more game with Texas starting now.
πŸ§‘βšΎοΈπŸ’™πŸš‚ They managed to win yesterday.

Ya'll remember that we hae an ice cream maker....not a crank type but an inside electric kind.
Ryan loves experimenting making flavors.
Since I am watching the Astros, Ryan just brought me a bowl of orange sherbet and blue raspberry lemonade sherbet!!! Yes. ASTRO colors. πŸ§‘πŸ’™πŸ˜‰πŸ™‚

I do not know how it happened but Astros won that game. They lost a 9 run lead. Rangers came back to lead but Astros scored in the 9th. What a rollercoaster!!!

Evening, peeps. 8) Another cool rainy day in Vacationland.

We road-tripped today to the Kennebec Cabin Co, aka Maine Cabin Masters. They have a series on one of the house channels where they renovate and update rustic camps and cabins and stuff around Maine and they recently opened a store and backyard deck bar near their HQ. So we went there to wander around and have lunch. Great time, we love that show and the crew.

Supposed to have fireworks in town tomorrow night but the weather looks iffy. We picked up some CBD stuff from the vet just in case, that was a big help keeping our pup calm last time.

I read this to Anne and she told me, "Tell her I love it too!"

We had some rain this afternoon and it cooled things off a little. The heat index only made it to 103 instead of 110.

After most of the afternoon, new faucets, 2 toilet floats and $400+, the plumber left. Good grief. We had leaks we didn't know we had and he was in all 3 bathrooms. Of course the water was off all that time. πŸ™ƒπŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«
But for a 20+ year old house, that wasn't bad.

So... no heat index here. No cabins. No plumbing issues. No fur babies needing calming. :)

It WAS 92. 20% humidity (finally)

We did get a new kitchen faucet last week. Have a sprayer, which we haven't had in 20 years.

Cameron's girl got him to the dentist today after 15+ years, and not one cavity. :D The dentist told him to thank me for his genetics.

Over the weekend our oven coil wouldn't heat up past 300, after being on over an hour. They've replaced the coil several times, and tonight our favorite maintenance guy called us to ask if I wanted a glass top or burners (electric, no gas) and I said NO to the glass top.

I'm still out of timing that we don't have to go to work tomorrow, but glad we had the day off. Traffic today was WONDERFULLY minimal.

We love our glass top!!! When we replaced the cook top, we replaced with another glass top. ❀️

My mom never had a cavity in her life.... She was born in Colorado Springs (or maybe Cripple Creek?) and always said it was all the minerals in the H2O that made her teeth so hard. 😁
