Happy 4th of July!!!

It is 1:31 AM and there are still booms going off in the area. Yearly I am amazed with the fireworks that go off way after midnight. From the sound, it comes from the same area. I guess the closer neighbors don't have young children or anyone with PTSD.

Anyway, everyone have a wonderful holiday.

Good morning, Dave and Molly. My favorite fireworks has started, fireflies. Last night I watched the show in my yard as I listened to several species of frogs and toads sang their chorus. The explosion sounds didn't bother nature much.

I didn't go to bed until a little after midnight last night and I didn't hear any fireworks, I was shocked. I expect that to change today. There's rain in the forecast but only a 30% chance so the fireworks will probably be booming. There are 4 or 5 places nearby that have fireworks displays but I'm not going to any of them. I went to one the first year I lived here and it was very crowded and it took forever to get out of the parking lot when it was over. I'll stay home and watch the Macy's fireworks on TV.

All musicals on TCM today. Right now Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Or the Utah version Seven Brides for One Brother.

Only 92...must be having a cold spell! But cloudy and showers are forecast.

Astros play the Rockies at 3:00.

I think the last round of fireworks was about 2 AM.

It’s another scorcher in OCMD today. The only rain since we arrived Saturday morning was during the night last night. Just spent 2 hours on the pool deck and we’re waiting for the rain delayed national hotdog eating contest to start. Then back to the pool.

The annual July 4th condo owners party starts at 4pm on the pool deck. 100 people signed up. The condo board bought 130 burgers and 150 hot dogs. Each owner brings a dish and the bar drinks are $1 beer and $2 wine or simple mixed drinks. Always a good time.

Afternoon all. Not a lot going on here. E made some peach ice cream. YUM. Made us some breakfast bagel sandwiches.

We found that one of our favorite restaurant/bar that closed last year has opened again as something else. BUT one of their best waiters/bartenders is going to be there today, so we're changing plans to head there in a few hours to see him.

Nice to be a little lazy today tho.

No rain yet but BIG thunder. Larry us trying to grill He better hurry or he will be dodging rain drops.

The HOA is having a 4th of July cookout by the pool. At 1:00 when it was supposed to start the heat index was 108. It's up to 111 now. I decided to stay indoors with my a/c and a cold beverage.

It's been raining all day here in MA... with occasional thunder and lightning!
Hopefully, that will limit the fireworks tonight to Mother Nature's only, instead of the Hoople's across the street!

Beautiful sunset coming soon in OCMD. We’re back from the owners picnic. It was awesome on the deck. Light breeze while sitting in the shade.

3 sets of fireworks will begin at 9. We can see all from the 18th floor. Kevin will hold onto me so I don’t fall.

And remember, when you're shooting off your fireworks later tonight, if you didn't buy them from a guy with an eyepatch and only three fingers on one hand, you probably didn't get the good stuff.
