Good Morning Everyone!

This is my short (6 hr) day. That means I'm only working 6 hrs this week :D

Hope you are all able to stay cool (we know LIPH is cool every day).

Good morning, Linda. It's too hot to fish, but the gym has AC.

Good morning Linda, Bill, and Deb! :)

Cool? Yeah it is here. It's currently foggy and only 59 degrees. More rain and storms this afternoon. SO unusual for Colorado. That, and there's humidity!! :o

Work is work. Too many stupid people.

Good morning. I'm getting ready to leave for the Red Cross for another platelet donation. I hope my hemoglobin is high enough, my last 2 appointments it was too low.

I did a few chores this morning and now I'm waiting for my PT appointment. He should be here any time now.
After therapy I'm planning on getting a nice shower and then figure out what to make for dinner. Happy Thursday!

Afternoon BNers

It is raining!!! It is only 75Β°!!!! Break out the sweaters! I had planned to do some errands but not in the rain.

Astros start a run with Seattle this evening. Hope they continue playing as well as they have been. Altuve is having oblique soreness again and on the IR. :(

we turned our AC up to 73 while we were in OCMD. When we returned yesterday we cut it back to 70. It took many, many hours of constant running to finally get there. Kevin called the AC folks to get on the repair schedule (first available is the 12th) just in case it can't get itself straightened out. Had it at 68 overnight and when we got up it was holding steady. Since Kevin is still on vacation and then the weekend we'll see what happens.

No platelets today, low hemoglobin again. I should probably stock up on red meat and raisins when I go grocery shopping. Maybe some dark chocolate too.

How about some liver???? I am probably the only person that grew up eating it and have always liked it.
Ok...eat more cherries!

My mom made the best liver & onions and it was considered a treat at our house.
The few times I've tried it since it's tasted like, well..... liver! :x

I ate liver in my youth and it was okay covered in onions and ketchup. During summer while in college my mother starting stocking boiled chicken liver in the fridge. At times it was the only meat choice.

I bought my own meat.

I used to make chicken liver pate that was good. I understand my Grandma used to feed me raw calves live when was in my highchair. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Some excitement in the neighborhood. Right next door, we have 3 cop cars. The house is an Air B and B for the summer. 2 people got in a fight...not sure how many are actually living there. The cops tazered one guy. One woman ran off but they caught her. 2 were hauled off. 4 are still in the yard with 2 cops. We used to live in an up scale area...guess not any longer. Neighbors are not thrilled about house being an Air B and B. Not sure what can be done.

We’re having tons of calls about Airbnb in our township. Right now they are not permitted. Every once in awhile we get a call about this kind of thing. We’re on it by issuing zoning violation letters with potential fines. Only way we know its going on is neighbor complaints.

We don't live in a town so I guess the sheriff is in charge. And like you said only if someone complains. Not sure exactly what is going on but wonder if this group will be moving out. It is a very nice house (4/5 bedroom with a great pool).

1) Our A/C is running fine, thankfully.
2) I hated the liver (no onions, my Dad was allergic) my Mom pan fried when I was a kid. Lots of ketchup, but I still hated it. However I like liver patΓ© and liver sausage 'lunch meat', go figure)
3) Larry, Dr. Penny says your ideas are good. https://www.medicinenet.com/how_do_i_in ... rticle.htm
4) Good luck, Molly. So many people are looking for more income, so they turn their homes into an Airbnb.

Off to the couch where I'll probably fall asleep in 3....2....1... ;)

The game wasn't as much fun as I hoped. Astros lost. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Not sure what is going on next door. Everyone is either in jail or in the house. I wonder if our subdivision bylaws says anything about running an Air BnB? Maybe it will come up at the next board meeting. We suspect our neighbors are spending the summer in Mexico.

I guess this might be the last chapter of our next door neighbor. The neighbors on the other side have been sitting on their driveway watching the troublemakers people. Guess they have been having a "tailgate" ;)

The troublemakers are loading suitcases in the car. Maybe they think we don't appreciate them? Lol Larry said he thought they were from Indiana or Illinois. Looks like they will find another Air BnB or head home.

Never a dull moment. Wonder if anyone else will move in.
