Good morning gang! Halfway through July! Holy Cow!

Not sure exactly what’s on todays agenda but it’s not for a lack of things needing to be done, that’s for sure.
Been a roller coaster ride this past week. My daughter was experiencing some pain in her chest last Tuesday which resulted in us spending about 8 hours in ER at the hospital.
Determined she had a major iron deficiency that could be causing the pain but will be following up with cardiologist for further testing to be safe.
I was not home at the time but Had a power outage at my House Wednesday night/Thursday early morning which resulted in water backing up in my basement. Got call from grandson about 11 am (his room is downstairs) that when he got out of bed & put his feet on floor….wet! Upon power coming back on apparently pump did not. Needless to say spent rest of day/deep into the night doing our best to remedy the situation. Could have been worse but still a PIA situation.
Yesterday had our Annual family reunion. Mother Nature was threatening us with some rain but took pity on us & kept us dry other than a few sprinkles that wormed their way through the treetops above us. Disappointing dwindling numbers showed up but still enjoyed our time with the ones that were there.
Hope you BN’ers have a great July midway point Day!

that's some stuff Ken! Hoping your daughter is fixed up quickly and easily!
We had a t-storm during the night with chances of more today. I guess there won't be any pool time for me so I will try to rustle up a few ladies for a walk at the mall.
We are trying to coordinate helping to care for the youngest grandboy from July 24 - Sept 7 while our son's on a 6-week military school training in St Louis Missouri. His mom has a medical job on a 3-11 shift that has her working every other weekend. It's like herding cats -- pick up here/drop off there/between our work schedules and other events....yikes

Good morning and WHOA, Ken! My basement is wet every rainy day. I run a dehumidifier daily to dry it out.
A basement story....a woman from the Cleveland club wants a flamingo scene painted in her basement wall. At Cabin Fever, we discussed me doing it when I attend her house party in August. I was drinking that night and completely forgot it till Bern reminded me. I've messaged the woman that I need the size of the painting to guestimate how much paint
to buy.

Good morning. Ken, I hope your daughter's OK.
Today is my anniversary, it's been 2 years since my last Buffett concert.
It was a beautiful night at the ballpark, 86 degrees at game time with a nice breeze. Considering the heat index had been 103 yesterday afternoon it was very comfortable. The Pelicans were losing 3-2 but scored 3 runs in the 7th inning without getting a hit to take the lead. They did their best to give the game away. Two outs in the 9th inning with no runners on base and the relief pitcher hit the batter with a pitch. They still had a 2 run lead and he got 2 strikes on the next batter but walked him. Got 2 strikes on the batter after that but walked him too. Bases loaded and 2 outs and they bring in another relief pitcher. First batter gets a hit and it's a tie game. The Pelicans scored in the bottom of the ninth and won 6-5.

We're having a family dinner. The middle daughter is here and we made Beef stroganoff over noodles. A cheesy veggie side dish. Dinner rolls and the youngest daughter, SIL and bonus grandson are here and she made a cheesecake with strawberry topping for dessert. It's been a good day

WOOOOHOOOOO
Our friend won the last big race at Bandimere Track outside Denver. If you have been to Red Rocks, you have probably been there. Lovely views but track has been sold.

So happy for Dickie and Team.
Now on to Astros. Hope this game has a better outcome than last night.

The Bandimere family is planning to rebuild a track/facility near the airport.

So it's been a loonnng weekend.
Cameron's girl had a awful migraine episode yesterday. This morning she texted me (in a joking manner) "What's for breakfast"?

I was happy she was feeling better! She came over and I made her breakfast (scrambled eggs with ham/cheese), hash browns, and toast. She ate it all. We chatted for a bit in the livingroom, and I saw her dozing. She slept for over 2 hours on the couch. She just loves being here with us, that she doesn't mind just hanging out.
I made a yummy breakfast and dinner. Dinner was Shrimp with lemon and Old Bay seasoning, with orzo. Cinnamon/caramel apples, and (E's favorite) cream corn.
Tomorrow is gonna be a rough day at work.. saying goodbye to one favorite friend/co-worker who is leaving after 25 years

, but a former employee is coming back, and I like that. THAT and the timeclock died Thursday night so I may be facing manual entries for 4 shifts (day/night) and I'm not looking forward to it. I'm planning on waking up at 4:30 to get there early.
Off to the couch, trying to fall asleep early. G'night all.

So glad Cameron's girl is feeling better. So far, I have only had one migraine. That is enough.

Thanks, Molly. I've never had one. She couldn't keep anything down.

She’s feeling
ok. She’s a bit of the worrying type & our family does have a history of heart issues so was in best interest to check it out. She got some reasonable answers from ER & her primary plus will follow up with stress test, etc soon just to be certain so she feels good about it.
The draining was done late the same day as the issue but had to work on getting rid of the dampness & the big problem was soooo much crap in the basement that had to hauled out, either to be pitched or air dry. Just finished putting stuff back down an hour ago that had been air drying all weekend.
Feel bad for Cameron’s gal. Know 3 people who get the migraines & they sound like a killer
