Good morning Bill.
Last night on the 11:00 news, Mr. Weather Guy said this week will be the hottest weather we've had so far this summer. it's supposed to be in the high 80s-mid 90s all week and the heat index could go as high as 110. So far it's only 87 degrees and the heat index is still below 100. Maybe I should get outside now before it gets really bad.

we've probably got the lowest morning temp in a while. only 68

.
getting our walk-in shower doors reinstalled today from the recent demo of the 2020 new install. We're hoping this part goes smoothly. If so, we may actually be able to use the shower again (with no leaks, we hope). We continue to work on our letter to the original contractor, laying out the history (which he, of course, knows), including the invoices for the plumber (who diagnosed the incorrect drain install), demo, repair, cost of replacement tile, reinstall door cost, and some pictures taken during demo to show the incorrect drain install. We are respectfully asking him to reimburse us for some of this cost. We'd like an answer from him but honestly don't expect one.

Not a bad idea. Otherwise, that sizzling noise you hear could be your sneakers......or worse, something else on your person

Afternoon BNers
Sorry for everyone's pains and uneasiness. Hoping things start looking up
We had a pretty good weekend. Between seeing Van's band and gf and Dickie winning Denver race, we had some smiles.
Another toasty week predicted.

You've the right to P and moan, Ken. We have issues here as well, but Most of us do. A funny one on aches,I found I was projecting on a mentally challenged local who is stooping as he walks. I have a good rapport with him and commented he was too young to be walking like an old man( at 75). He agreed that he would stand straighter. That night I slammed my head into a partially opened garage door because I also stoop when walking! I told the other fellow to feel free to tell me to stand straight. He does and I do.

The last few days they've been saying on the news that the ocean has been really calm so no sand and silt has been stirred up from the ocean floor and the water was starting to look blue, like in the Caribbean. I went to the state park and walked out on the fishing pier so I could get away from the shore. I've only been to the Caribbean once but the water at the state park looked nothing like the Caribbean. But I did see a guy wearing a t-shirt that said
LIKE MY MOM ALWAYS SAID "WHAT THE F**K IS WRONG WITH YOU?"
Then I went to Total Wine to replenish my beer supply. I went to the singles section and made my own 6 pack. One of them was a blonde ale from a brewer in Cincinnati that we don't see here very often, Rhinegeist. I'm going to have a Cougar later.

I really need that shirt!!!
So, I got to work at 6:00 am and started in on the forms I needed to enter since the timeclock was down - luckily it came back Saturday afternoon, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. And I've been non-stop since. Once I got things caught up, I had to cover the front desk AGAIN.
Only have about 45 minutes and it'll time to go home. Never got a lunch break, just scarfed down a sandwich.

Our shower doors have been reinstalled (thank goodness no damage or we would be out another $1,000 for a new set). Our guy from church charged us $200 to clean up the old silicone (there was a boat load) and reinstall. Can't wait to use it tomorrow (it's the little things that make me happy

)

It was hot as hell today but at least the sun was shining. It's raining so hard now it's like a wall of water out there.

We had our new refrigerator delivered today. The freezer section of the old one wouldn't get below 32 degrees.
So far, so good. Now my ice cream is hard again. No, that is not a metaphor.

Well good luck with that, Larry.
In our age bracket, what constitutes a "cougar"?
