Good morning folks!
Today our heat index is to be 105 (that will surely be some type of record). . Glad to have central AC both at work & home and some pretty hefty AC in the cars.
What's going on in your neck of the woods?

Good Morning!
Typical summer temps here warming up this afternoon.
Got back home late yesterday afternoon from mini travel trip. Today represents Staycation day. Heading to phriends for a pool day a little later. Not sure what else is on the docket.
Hope everyone enjoys their 27th day of July!

Good morning, sistah, Ken, lurkers.
Scorcher in Vacationland, too. Just pushing on with the big purge clean up prep. Too hot for much else. If we get through it we’ll treat ourselves to happy hour downtown somewhere.
Stay cool, y’all!

Good morning. Today shouldn't be too bad, 88 degrees and a heat index about 100, but the weekend will be much hotter. The temperature could hit the mid 90s with a heat index in the 105-110 range.

Good Morning Star Cafe! The night storm gave us over 2 inches of rain and now it's muggy.

Good morning all.
Yesterday was a very long day. Had to cover the front desk for the entire day.
We got calls from Hospice and my Mom's care facility that she's winding down. Not eating. Oxygen at 80%.. so we're preparing. Could be a day, or a week, or a month. Sigh.
But E and I had a pre-planned beer/cheese pairing/tasting at our favorite brewery. It was a nice time and the cheeses were amazing.
This weekend we'll be staying at my sister/BIL house, fur niece sitting.
That's about all from here.. another 90+ day, but our humidity is finally down. They never give the heat index here.

Just another day in the Upper LH Corner; it's currently 64° but 'sposed to get up to 77°.
It did rain on Monday; it "rained" off and on all day for a total of a tenth of an inch.
We've had a total of 2.5" since the first of May.

Happy hour at home tonight with sliders and salad. And wine.
So hot the pup won’t even walk up the street.

Evening BNers
What a day. Started about 85 and humid. Went to Hollywood Studios to do a few things and have lunch at Moms. While we were eating, it rained.
Glad we covered the scooter
Really muggy this afternoon

It's muggy here too... but nothing like the heat in many other places. Still, A/C is a gift from God!!
We did get a "love note" from National Grid "warning" us that our usage is higher this month than last... REALLY?!

Go figure!

Sending a ((HUG)) westward, Penny. My neighbor just went through this same scenario with her Dad... it was about 10 days for him. Alzheimer's is an AWFUL disease, and it affects the patient's loved ones even more, I think... since they are aware of what is happening.

You and your family are in my prayers.

Hi there! We went for ice cream at a village crossroads. We watched a guy set up a portable amp and microphone for a street performance. Cars and trucks drove by an honked as he played guitar, harmonica and sang. What we heard was pretty good. Nice to see and hear the musician.

So sorry, MsMod... MrsSPH's mom is 95 and her condition is worsening at an increasing rate. She was so sharp just a few years ago, but it's shocking how quickly she's declined; the last year has been really bad. Our thoughts are with you and your mom.

I spent the day with bonus grandson Milo again today. He requested a grilled pbnj for lunch and stuffed Shells for dinner, so that's what Mimi made him. I'm off again tomorrow but I'm working Saturday.

Good evening.
We had an intense t-storm around 5;30 pm. Raining sideways and the tall trees behind our place were really bending. Power went out about 5 minutes before we were ready to eat dinner. Just left the salmon and roasted sprouts in for a little bit longer.
Electric company texted a return of power at 11:30 pm. In the first 2 hours our indoor temp went up 3 degrees to 72.
We were scheduled to hang out with grandson Eli from 7-10:30. We went to their house a little early. Just got a text from power company that power is back on (it’s 10:15). We’ll be heading home soon. It’s probably going to be warm there.
