I'm heading out for breakfast with some girlfriends from church then on to food shopping. That's all the excitement for me today!

Good Morning Linda, & those lurking in the weeds.......
After a day at the office we wander back down to Pine Knob tonight for an 80's show. Headliner being Boy George & Culture Club. Supporting acts include Berlin (Take My Breath Away, No More Words) along with Howard Jones (Everlasting Love, Things Can Only Get Better, What is Love, No One is to Blame). If you weren't part of the 80's new wave music craze back then you have NO IDEA who I'm talking about
Enjoy your Friday funday gang!

Good morning. It's rained every night since Monday but we haven't had any rain during the day. That's going to change today. It's very overcast and there are thunderstorms in the forecast. Maybe I'll stay indoors, do laundry and celebrate International Beer Day.

Friday again? Same old same old here in the Upper LH Corner.... sunny and warm.
The weather guessers are saying "a few showers" in the forecast for the next few days.
It figures; I've finished the prep work and was ready to do some painting on the house.

Afternoon BNers
We are home from our Orlando trip. It was a good trip but it was HOT and rained every day but one. One Sunday, I went to see my friends play music at Disney Springs and after 4 songs, it poured. Omg. I dashed to an overhand at a bar so the scooter wouldn't get wet. It was blowing so hard. I covered up the scooter with ponchos and umbrella. And I was next to an outlet, so I plugged it in. I didn't think it got wet, but when I headed to the bus, I only had one yellow light!!! I finally got to the bus stop and the bus driver pushed it on the bus. Larry met me at the resort stop and pushed it to our room. Omg....what a mess. But the next day, it was fully charged and fine.
It is good to be home, now the unpacking begins.

The one thing I miss when traveling is my tub, or water. Every tub/shower has different ways to adjust the water temps. Especially showers.

Good afternoon all.
E FINALLY got home last night. Flight was late, due to weather. He was starving when he got home, so I made him a little dinner. Took my Melatonin a little too late, and I was drowsy when I woke up this morning for work. So I stayed home today. I went back to sleep around 6:00 and woke up at 10:00.
Just been watching TV and doing some laundry.
Mom is no longer responsive in any way. But her body doesn't know it's time to quit.

Why was a Florida sea creature named for singer Jimmy Buffett? Researchers have a reason
"You might think Jimmy Buffett has already been immortalized through his five decades of popular music and the business empire he has built since emerging from the Key West scene of the early 1970s.
But a team of scientists, including a group from the University of Miami, has found another way to implant his name in Florida, where the Mississippi-born Buffett calls home.
The team just named a newly discovered species they found in the watery depths of the Keys after the 76-year-old singer-songwriter.
Meet Gnathia jimmybuffetti.
That’s the new crustacean discovered and named by the international team of scientists from UM and their colleageus in South Africa."

I saw Keb' Mo' in concert a couple of times when I still lived on Long Island, he was really good. I think he can play just about any instrument that has strings on it.

It rained on and off most of the morning and into early afternoon. It cleared up about 2:00 and it turned into a pretty nice day. Until about 15 or 20 minutes ago when I started hearing thunder and the sky got dark. It's pouring now.

Kevin’s dad was the same way. It’s so hard for loved ones to watch this happen. Sending love to you Penny.

My afternoon with nothing to do took a turn at my girlfriends’ breakfast gathering. One of the ladies was saying how disorganized and out of control her daughters home is bc there are 3 babies under 3. A 3 year old and 10-month old twins. (Kevin and I know both of the littles parents as they grew up in our church). One of the other ladies said how well I am able to help people with this process. I do love to help people get their home set up in a way that works best for them. I offered to help Tami and told her mom to give her my number. By the time breakfast was over I had a text from Tami asking for help. I spent 3 hours with her and her 3 littles this afternoon. I am amazed at her energy and parenting skills. She was Very receptive to my ideas and suggestions and was anxious to see what her husband would think of the dining room transformation. She was so thrilled with what we accomplished I am going back next Friday to help her attack their large living space that is a play area, laundry collection spot and just about anything else you can think of.

My friend's Dad was the same. She finally told him (tho he was also unresponsive) that it was OK to let go, and when he saw his wife (who had passed last year) it was time to go meet her. He passed 2 days later. Jim's aunt hung on until all her nieces and nephews made it to NY to say their goodbyes. The body can be stubborn if the brain deems it necessary. Hopefully, your Mom will be at peace soon. I am thinking of you...
