Pick your day: National Sisters Day, American Family Day, National Fresh Breath Day, National Root Beer Float Day,
National Wiggle Your Toes Day, National Friendship Day…
I’m thinking maybe I’ll give my sister a call and then wiggle my toes as I have a Root Beer Float.
Whatever it is that floats your boat, have a good day!

Good mid morning all. That’s a lot of choices.
At the gym since grandson Eli is back with his parents. Will head to friends pool while Kevin naps. (He went to bed later than normal and was up 6 hrs later)
Marinated grilled shrimp with a tossed salad for dinner.

Morning BNers
National Root Beer Float day...yum!! We had RB floats while at Disney trying to beat the heat.

Another hot day. We broke records yesterday, probably do the same today.

Good afternoon. Instead of going to the park I went for a walk around the neighborhood. It's hot but not unbearably hot and I rehydrated when I got back home. Maybe I'll have a frosty beverage to top off the 3 glasses of water that I had.

What an Astros/Yankees game. Astros scored first and then Yankees got some walks and got caught up. Then Astros scored more and Yankees tried to catch up, but did not. Astros won 9-7. Wow. I think Dusty used most of his pitchers.

So glad they have Tomorrow off.

Daughter came fairly early to pick up the Grand Dog. They enjoyed the Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel concert. After she left we got ready to go to Mansfield to look at furniture. We went to several places but didn't find what we were looking for, so we came home and did some online shopping and finally decided on a little reclining loveseat to go with the 2 recliners we just bought. The heavy power reclining sectional is going to go to the basement now that the basement remodel is done!

The pool water was great!!
The grilled shrimp was awesome. Instead of a tossed salad we had a large zucchini from our daughters sister-in-laws large garden. It was huge so we cut it into spears, sprayed it with olive oil added salt and pepper and threw it on the grill. YUMMMMM.
It’s drizzling now but we should be getting some rain tomorrow. I hope so since I passed on watering the flower beds today.

Good evening my BN Phamily. Just wanted to let you know that Mom passed away about an hour ago.

There is great relief and grief.
Earlier today we asked one of caregivers/nurses, that has been with Mom and Dad since the day we moved them to Assisted Living in 2015, if Kathy (my sister) could hold her cell phone by Mom's ear so we could tell her it was okay to leave, we love her, but it was okay to go find Dad.

My sister and I did NOT want to see Mom in her declining condition. But... it seemed to work. Relief is the same as grief right now.
