Good late morning.

Nothing going on here. Maybe I'll grab a bottle of water and head to the park.

We were supposed to have all kinds of nasty weather earlier in the day - wind, rain, a small (but not 0%) chance of a tornado - and we didn't have any of that. But it's 93 degrees and the heat index is 106 so we have that going for us.

Well, it was still late breakfast time here when you opened, Larry. ;)

Been another busy work day, and I'm still astounded how stupid people are. And I'm annoyed cause someone took my favorite pen off of my desk.

Waiting for the Mortuary to call back to schedule a time to meet.

Otherwise it's just plain hot out there, but not in the 100's.

Sad for Maui - it's where my sister and one of her best friends were going to retire. The friends are already living there.

I have the bonus grandson again today. We made cookies and shredded chicken for tacos and quesadillas for dinner. We're waiting for Bryan to get home 🏡

I have to keep reminding myself that (statistically) half the people in the world are stupider than the "average" person..... that makes for a lot of stupid people!

I have great memories of Lahaina as it was the closest town to the resort we stayed at WAAAAY back on our 10th anniversary, it is just horrible to see it in ashes. I have a friend who splits his time between CA and Maui as that is where his wife is from. Their place and those of her family are OK, but many of their friends' homes are gone. So tragic. I remember the area as being so lush and green... not fire-prone at all.., times change, I guess...
