Good morning BN. Sorry about the sobering title. To see an island paradise destroyed is heart wrenching.

Good morning, Bill & BN. The Maui pics are horrifying, never been to HI but hope to get there someday.
Spent a few hours this morning updating paperwork and stuff that was tied to old work accounts. Heading into town to shop and have some lunch. It’s a gorgeous day out there.
What’s everyone got on for today?

Good morning Bill and Nancy.
There's a blood drive at the mall today and I had an appointment at 10:00. Holy *****, it's hot out, the heat index is already 108. Today will be another indoor day.

Can’t imagine the horror these folks are experiencing. Tourism is a huge profit for them.
When we cancelled our April Mediterranean cruise a few weeks ago we decided to look into an Alaska then on to Hawaii island hopping cruise.
Daughter and SIL were there last year. They went to a luau in the devastated area.

Good morning/afternoon BN.
The pictures from Maui look so much like a fire that swept through an area just north of Denver in December 2021. Sadly the Maui fire took more lives and businesses.
It's my sister's and BIL's dream retirement area. Luckily where they were going to end up is about 10 miles from the fires.
Leaving work in about 75 minutes to head to the mortuary to pick out Mom's urn and to give them some memories to be placed with her during cremation. We did the same with my Dad.

Hang in there, MsMod!
We've had two days of "measureable" rain this month, if you can call .11" and .04" measureable. That puts us at 2.52" since the first of May.
I'f you've never been to Lahaina, here's what you missed and what we've all lost:

Afternoon BNers
Haven't been to Maui but have been to Oahu. When I was in college, my Mother won a trip! Pampa had a mall open and they gave a week trip to one lucky winner. It was my Mother!!! How long ago? We fly on BRANIFF!! LOL It was a trip for 2, but I paid extra and gor to go!!!! Fabulous trip.
It is 102 but feels like 111.
Larry and I have a quandary. In 10 days, we celebrate an anniversary. It is a kinda BIG one. What do we do?? We just got back from Disney. Can't have a party...really no local friends. Just don't know.

Yesterday I went downstairs to throw the garbage out, the heat index was 116. About an hour ago I went to get my mail, the heat index was 117. It didn't feel any hotter than yesterday.

Hi there! After a week of a congestive, ough, I went to urgacare. I have a sinus infection. The prescription was 75$. Anne told me after the fat she has Good RX and could have gotten it a lot cheaper.
