Parrotheads.....start your engines!
Good Morning Gang! This week here in the Flint area it is Back to the Bricks week for the 19th year. A weeklong celebration of the automobile. Of course it features the "classic" cars, but anyone who has a car that makes people stand up & take notice are part of the celebration. Through Saturday it's about cruisin' & viewin' cool cars & trucks!
An organized "cruise" wherein people drive their vehicles up & down a certain route takes place, beginning last night & including tonight. Friday night an organized car show & concert happens downtown & culminates Saturday with an even BIGGER assembly of cars downtown for the pholks to walk around and view. Huge numbers are involved & thousands of people will either line the streets watching the "cruisers" or end up downtown Friday or Saturday & walk around viewing the blocks & blocks of car after car.

Enjoy your 17th day of August Everyone!

I'm working again today...this is the first time I've done 2 days in a row since my time off for medical reasons. But I'm doing really well and I'm hoping to start doing 3-4 days regularly, especially since it appears business is starting to pick back up with back to school business.

Good afternoon peoples.

An outfielder on the St. Louis Cardinals had to be taken out of the game last night. He was at bat, hit a foul ball straight down into the dirt in the batter's box and it bounced up and hit him in the man zone. ESPN's website has a short video of it, with slow motion replays from 2 different angles.

Where is everyone ?

I'm heading out from work soon -- this is my short day. A short dr appt then home. If the weather stays sunny I may try a grocery run (we just had a torrential downpour for 10 mins -- now the sun is back. If it's ugly I guess I'm do some laundry to get that off of my Friday list :).

Afternoon BNers

Another hot, rainless day. Don't know what happened to the rain forecast. Close to 40 days without rain.

Astros won last night. 🧡⚾️💙
They have a day off today.

Good afternoon, all. I was typing a good morning a couple of hours ago, then got busy at work.

This has been one REALLY long week. Ready for it to be over.

Dog sitting at my sisters this weekend again. Looking forward to nearly nothing to do.

I finished Mom's obituary - whew. That took a lot out of me. :-?

Have fun with the cars this weekend, Ken!

Larry - I saw that Cardinals replay. :o

Hot one again, but not as bad as yesterday.

Hi there! We met with former art council members for lunch. My elementary art teacher was there. He is 91!!!!!!. Sharp as a dart, the guy still has a full head of hair.

It turned out nice enough that we could comfortably sit outside on the deck for dinner.

Since the 2nd load of laundry is in the dryer my only goal for tomorrow is food shopping and dropping off a meal for a coworker who had her torn ACL and meniscus repaired last Friday. Then off to the pool. At 6pm we’ll head to a new “beer garden” set up where our son-in-law’s band (1 of 3 he is in) is playing.
