I have a big day planned. I have to bring my car in for an oil change and tire rotation at 9:30, then I'll stop at the supermarket on the way home. I lead such an exciting life.

Our day will be spent between the pool & the Gulf. I enjoy walking the beach in the morning & looking for shells. I'll do about 30 min 1 way, sit for a few and then head back. Gorgeous work out back drop

Last night we got the rain that the Weather Guessers were predicting... another 0.03 inches, bringing the total for the month up to 0.17" inches.
We might get some more today, but I won't start filling sandbags yet.

We must have had some rain overnight, when I was driving to the dealership for my car service appointment there were a lot of puddles on the side of the road.

Not much going on today except work. And laundry when I get home.

Seems like there's only one more thing needing settled for Mom's finances, and trying to find a phone number is impossible.
We're just waiting to also confirm the date of her small service at Ft. Logan.

And I'm tired..

I'm back at work on this lovely Hump Day!
Bryan surprised me by texting our oldest daughter and arranged for our grands to come spend Labor Day weekend with us!
Unfortunately bonus grandson Milo was taken back to Chicago last weekend. The first day back he texted my daughter (his "Ohio Mom") to say "sitting here thinking about three months down the drain and now I'm back in Chigarbage"

Poor kid.

I'm having lunch and a frosty beverage at Old Chicago. The Cubs are on the MLB Network and they have 2 former Pelicans in the lineup, the left fielder played 2nd base for the Pelicans and the 1st baseman played 3rd base. I have the 1st baseman's jersey from Super Hero Night. At the time I knew nothing about him but he was #24 (he's wearing #9 now) and 24 was Willie Mays' number, my favorite player when I was a kid. And the greatest player I ever saw play.

What is this rain you speak about?? It must be getting close to 50 days since our last rain. A few area got a sprinkle from Harold yesterday. We were not that lucky. And the area did not get to 100 yesterday. Missed setting a record of 100 degree days in a row. But we are back to 100s the rest of the week.

Astros won against Boston again last night. Homeruns were made, people were thrown out of the game....exciting!! Another game tonight.

I finally got through almost 1500 emails!! Most were crap but I couldn't DELETE ALL because some I needed to read first. At least that is done.

I'm usually a traditionalist when it comes to pizza - sauce, cheese and maybe pepperoni. Old Chicago has a new pizza on the menu for a limited time and I tried it this afternoon. Instead of regular pizza sauce it has a beer cheese sauce and it's topped with roasted chicken, red peppers, red onions and pepperoncini. It was delicious. I don't know how "limited" the limited time it's going to be on the menu is but if it's still on the menu the next time I go there I'll have it again.

Hi there! I photographed the new Cleveland club logo and sent pics to Amo.I rehung a pantry door that popped lose and got inspired to start a new project that required a trip to the studio. Thirty minutes later, after many sidelining distractions, I was back in the house. I quit. the new project will wait.

We are the same traditionalists too, Larry. I would skip the red onions (unless they were pickled), but that sounds good.
