It's a beautiful day but I have to stay home, at least until Mr. Fed Ex gets here. My Beer Of The Month club delivery is scheduled to arrive sometime between 11:00 and 3:00 and I have to sign for it.

I have no skills for anything mechanical or electrical or cars. But I'm great in the kitchen.

Fed Ex was just here so I can get out and enjoy the day. Different driver today, the regular driver always scans the bar code on the back of my driver's license then makes me sign. Today's driver was a very cheerful woman who scanned my driver's license but didn't make me sign for the package. She called me "Mr. Lawrence". That must be a southern thing, people in NY called me a lot of things but "Mr. Lawrence" was never one of them.

Today, Larry and I have been married 50 years.
50 years. It just doesn't seem possible. Wow.

Hard day at work today. Glad it is my short one and I’m now off until Monday. Just 3 days next week since we leave for MBSC on Thursday morning. Will do some serious community house looking while we’re there. And maybe catch up with LIPH.

PH friends coming from NJ to spend the weekend with us. We’re looking forward to hanging out with them.

We are both surprised. I'm sure him being on the road so much helped.

We just went to eat at Lupe Tortillas. We used to go often but not since covid. It was nice being inside for a change.

Astros just played an afternoon game with Boston. Houston lost 17-1.

BTW... It is 109 actually degrees. OMG.
And of course no rain.

Gack! First it was back to school supplies at the store, then it was Halloween decorations at Costco, and now Starbucks has announced that Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back. Reality is sinking in... September in next week!
Even though I've been going to SBUX for over 50 years (back when there was only one store), I've never had a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

So we have the official date of Mom joining Dad at at Fort Logan National Cemetery on September 8th.

This what their 'wall' looks like.



And Ft. Logan is similar to Arlington in Washington DC, just not quite as big. But amazing.



BEST much-needed laugh today during my mammogram. The wonderful technician and I walked into the exam room, and she had the pictures from last year pulled up on the monitor. She commented, "I think I did yours from last year because I recognize... my initials". My brain went to "recognize my boob". We laughed the entire appointment.

P.S. I'm not a huge coffee drinker (I love it, just don't drink it much) I LOVE pumpkin spice.
